The Oral-B iO 9 should last between 7-14 days on a single charge depending on your brushing habits. If you brush for the dentist-recommended two minutes, twice a day you should get at least 10 days from a single charge, but brushing more often will mean you’ll also need to charge the handle more often. It still doesn’t sound like you’re getting the battery life we expect, however, and we’d like to learn more about what’s going on so we can help. This is likely because it got into contact with an ingredient that is corrosive in nature and made the plastic porous. These things are found in things like soaps, cosmetics, and cleaning agents. You can clean the brush after each use and store the brush head and brush handle in a well ventilated and it should prevent this from happening in the future. Please know we understand this is unsightly but it is likely a buildup from regular use. Even if rinsed after each use, residual toothpaste can harden over time and form a residue on your toothbrush and the replacement head. In general, bleeding should stop after a few days. Should it persist after 2 weeks, please consult your dentist or dental hygienist. Additionally, gums may bleed if too much pressure is used.
