Cape Cod is one of my favorite brands because they deliver that extreme crunch and pure potato flavor that I enjoy so much every single time. Tasting and loving the Less Fat version from one of my favorite brands could not get any better! Super crunchy, the right amount of salt, perfect size and thickness of chip plus that unbelievably rich potato flavor and mouthfeel that all of that provides is a true win win! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Cape Cod Less Fat Original Potato Chips from Home Tester Club to try in exchange for my honest review. My first impression was that the chips were very crunchy. They taste very similar to the original variety. The ingredients are simple, just choice potatoes, vegetable oil, and sea salt. These chips contain 40% less fat than the original because the manufacturer removes excess oil. Fortunately, the reduced fat doesn’t affect the taste.

The only thing that was noticeable to me was that they did not have as much salt on them and could not taste the salt as I normally can on their other chips. I did still find it tasted good. For some reason, I did have horrible stomach cramps after eating and after doing some research learned that may happen to people when consuming a less fat chip although I can not say for certain.

The nutrition facts are pretty similar as well - 10 calories less, 2g of fat less, 2g carbs more than the original variety. the only difference i can pick up on is the reduce fat feels slightly thinner and more crisp. It's a solid chip and, if you're looking to slightly reduce calories, you won't know the difference.

These chips were not too salty either! I couldn’t tell they were the less fat ones accept they were less greasy which was even better!

They have a good level of saltiness and I am definitely making the switch from the usual brand of potato chip I purchase!
