I used the name brands and these are just as good, even better for the price. Typically the brands that don't sell smokers are better IMO.

I've been using these pellets for the past few years in my Rec Tec Bull and have never had a problem with these. I use them exclusively for fish, chicken, pork,& beef and have always been happy with the flavor. Thank you Sams fo a great product.

Bought a bag just to try them out and did some baby backs. They turned out really well with a good smoke flavor. For the price I think this will be my main source and maybe use some different flavors in the smoke tube.

I am an avid, year-round outdoor cooker for over 30 years and currently have 2 of my 5 cookers as pellet grills. There are many brands of pellets I have used and a few that I regular use because of consistent flavor profiles and effectiveness in the cooker (no jams, quality smoke, etc.). This is my first and last bag I will purchase and absolutely do not recommend using them! As soon as I opened the bag I immediately thought the smell was like walking into a lumber yard. Just plain, construction-grade cut lumber smell. Nonetheless, I was smoking meats all day yesterday and was going to begin another long overnight cook with some pork butts and planned on using these pellets. I had a little left of my go-to pellets for pork in the hopper (Jealous Devil) and then added about 15 lbs of this. When the cook was going last night, I had my typical clean/blue smoke coming from my cooker. However, as those pellets burned off and these started kicking in, all the smoke was a dirty, dark grey color. I noticed this in the early morning and immediately dumped what was left out of my hopper and added more Jealous Devil. Also immediately, the problem was solved and back to clean smoke. It does not matter how cheap these are if they ruin your expensive meat you are smoking for 16+ hours. I am going to try and get a refund for this purchase and will never buy them again. Spend your money elsewhere on better quality pellets.

Bought these since it was such a great deal- more pellets for less money! Well you get what you pay for- these clog the hopper on our pit boss pellet grill and causes the feeder to stop spinning. Have had issues with it twice now both times while using these pellets. No issues with the pit boss or traeger brand pellets. Will not be buying these again

Used them in my pellet smoker, it kept dropping temp because they burn so poorly. Switched to Weber pellets, worked great. Went back to these pellets, literally smothered the flame and shut down the grill. Went back to the Weber pellets, worked great again. 'Nuff said...I threw the rest of the bag away!

I have a Traeger smoker that has worked flawlessly for many years. I have always used Traeger pellets. When I saw this product and the positive reviews, I bought it. I loaded the smoker with these pellets. I used it once successfully. A few weeks later, I tried to use the smoker and it would not work. These pellets had turned into sawdust and clogged the pellet feed line. It was so bad, I had to remove the pellet feed box and all electrical components to clear the auger. My choice to buy these pellets resulted in a few hours of work for thinking I could save a few dollars by not buying Traeger pellets. And, I have a big bag of what I now consider dangerous pellets. If you have a Traeger smoker, you are risking a full disassembly and rebuild of the smoker if you use this product.

These are the worst pellets I’ve ever used. They smell like saw dust and they turned everything black. I use a rec teq and it always keeps temp within a few degrees of the set temp. These pellets burned about 40 degrees hotter than the set temp. I never could get it to cool down to where I wanted the temp.

My pellet grill keeps coding too hot and shutting down after a few hours of cooking. The grill manufacturer says my Smokehouse pellets are the problem because they create too much ash. I have not yet tried a different pellet to see if there's a difference.

The pellets were in an outside environment (As they should have been) inside my pitboss and the humidity turned the pellets into a thick mud. Just stick with the official pitboss pellets. The pellets in the actual bag turned into Saw dust just from sitting outside with no exposure to rain
