A) Installed these about 20 inches from face of wall, on some wedge shaped trim so they aim back towards the wall. Light is less intense, but still puts color all over the wall (and fascia does a good job hiding the pucks from the street). B) Govee needs to offer spare extensions. Used the 12 foot one that came with the kit, but would have loved to be able to buy these separately, maybe even on that is half as long. Would give people more options for layout. Offer spare wire clips, while you're at it. C) App still needs work. For one thing, setting an automation (FYI, on at sunset) needs more customization. Able to delay past a given time, but not BEFORE. ALL of my other RGBs allow customization before sunset. Another item would be to allow user to zoom in on individual pixels for a custom lighting effect. Some of us have large fingers, or are using a phone to customize, so selecting an individual pixel can become a struggle. But... I'm happy with my install, I'm glad I purchased them. Only took a star off due to the items above, which I think are solvable by Govee.

These are very cool but will not stay mounted all winter. I had about 10 modules where the brand new 3m strip wouldn't even stick(yes, all surface area were well prepped). Thankfully some replacements were included. I've had them up for about 2 weeks and have already had to re-secure numerous different modules even though they are well protected from the elements(except the cold). If looking at purchasing you will want to buy enough clips to actually screw mount each module. I originally ordered the 100' kit and was going to expand an additional 50' but I now have longevity concerns so will wait to see how these perform throughout the winter first.

I LOVE LOVE, LOVE these lights! :) They are beautiful and exceeded my expectations. I wanted to do the entire house and my detached garage but did not have the budget so they are on the front only...STILL LOOK AWESOME!! I put them up myself back in December (at 70yrs young) and my only issue is some of them are coming down which is why I ordered these clips. A simple fix!!

I recently purchased Govee outdoor permanent lights to outline the front of my house. I couldn't be any happier. The super gummy adhesive made the installation so easy. Just use a ruler or other object as a guide to keep the line straight and your lights will shine bright in no time. Highly recommend.

The product seems excellent, easy to install, lots of functionality. Just wish they had a better roll out with the extensions available. Seems it would be easy to have short sections of blanks (they recommend only using one, not sure why) and differing lengths of light sections.

Highly recommend these lights. There are so many modes/scenes to pick from. Can’t wait to use these year round with the warm white option during the off holiday seasons. Had them up for almost a week and they are all still sticking very well under the very windy/wet conditions.

I love the idea of the permanent Christmas lights. We bought a 150' string and a 50' string. The installation was a bit harder than I thought. I think it would be easier if the lights themselves had an area for a screw or clip to go through rather than having to install that separately. Also, I would like to see some additional lights per string so they are a bit closer together. Also more color options. White and now black with the Pro is a good start, but how about tan and brown too? My house is tan and the white stick out like a sore thumb. I do love the colors though and the pre-sets in the app are great! I'd like to see Apple Homekit available with the light strings. I have an iPhone and bought the non-pro (the Pro were not in stock and I didn't even see them on your website until after mine were up). Why not make the non-pro work with Apple Homekit too?

1st I'm going to say I love these lights. 2 out of my 3 strands of my 50ft set work great. But one stand is definitely defective. The defective strand dims intermittently. At first I questioned if it was just part of the different lifts settings but no, there is definitely an issue going on. The annoying part is that the defective strand is at the highest point of my roof. ! Let's see how well Govee stands behind their warranty.

If you read the 1/2 star reviews, it's nothing but people complaining because they tried to order them right before Christmas and couldn't because, of course, everyone else had the same idea and so they went out of stock. I'm here to tell you that once installed correctly, these lights are a huge game changer. My wife thought it was a waste of money until I turned them on the first night and she was blown away. She was sending pictures to everyone in her Snapchat showing off the new lights. You won't regret it one single bit!!

Even my husband likes them. He didn't want to hang up lights because he had taken a fall off the ladder last year but the thought I've never having to do it again enticed him. Some people say they are very easy to put up. We'll not so true. They didn't always land on the flat part of the soffit so we needed to use more clips then expected. They didn't provide enough screws to go with the clips. But we had enough. Some people say it only took an hour to put up. Well that must have meant the 50 foot strand because it took us 3 hours for the 150 foot strand. But they look absolutely amazing. I love all the options. The app will take some time to figure out.
