I absolutely ADORE my Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2! I'm getting up there in age and am getting to the point where I don't feel overly confident climbing 15 feet up on an extension ladder. So, in order to eliminate that yearly fatigue inducing task, I purchased these lights in the hopes that this would be the last time I'd be having to string lights up on my house. I am THRILLED with the results! I must say, I do miss having my C9 Christmas light bulbs up and glowing... but I can live with not having to climb my ladder anymore. The Govee lights are a wonderful substitute. And, I can make them do all sorts of things that my old C9's couldn't do. The installation took me a bit longer than hanging my old Christmas lights, but that was mainly due to running the electrical supply into the attic of the garage and then down to an outlet. I would say that I wish I'd done this years sooner, but I actually think I did this at the exact time I needed to. It's a wonderful addition to my house that I can use all year 'round and not just at the holiday time of year. If you're hesitant about it, I really don't think you'll be disappointed with the result if you install them correctly!

I absolutely love these lights. This is my 2nd set. I love that every holiday I can be lit up. My husband loves them too because he doesnt have to get on a ladder to put my holiday lights up anymore. Very easy to install and my neighbors are always telling me how nice it looks. I would highly recommend!

The lights look absolutely awesome. Pretty easy to put up, but I think they should include better brackets to screw into the soffits. For the price.

These lights are so beautiful and look like they were installed by professionals! It was easy to clip them on to the house, we went on youtube and watched a few tutorials before trying it ourselves. Love that you can change the colors on the bulbs and use them year-round for festive decorations!

I bought this lights for my daughters house as a gift and hired someone to install them, and we are beyond happy, they are beautiful, I highly recommend them, it will give your house and beautiful look ❤️

Easy to set up and integrate the lights into the app. The lights look great and add a unique look to the house. Plenty of options for colors and styles to choose from.

The lights are nice and bright, the brackets for each light is peace of mind if the adhesive ever fails. The app needs some work though. It could be a lot more user friendly with some things simplified (like on at dusk and off at dawn with a simple check box for example)

The lights are fairly easy to apply, although we played around with them to get just the look we wanted. They've held sturdy through several storms, and simultaneously, cheerfully lit up the house. The app is very easy to use, offers preset color patterns as well as the ability to make your own patterns. We are having a good time playing around with them. And from the number of people stopping to watch our lights, other people are enjoying them as well.

The good: great installation with the adhesive and clips. Lots of options, including color selection and patterns. The bad: The app is terrible. Everything is far too complicated, not intuitive, and redundant. Specifically, I used a DIY all of December and no matter how many settings I tried, the lights would not stay one brightness. They would go all the way dark and suddenly light up 100 percent. Now I have them on one color with a simple sunrise- and sunset-based schedule. All appears to be working (although I've caught them doing the suddenly bright thing a couple of times).

With how expensive these lights are you would think they could put in some decent hardware. I am sure the margins Govee makes is well over 100% on these lights but they cheap out in the hardware making installation a pain. Do yourself a favor and throw out the screws and anchors that come in the box and go buy some self tapping #6 1/2inch screws to make installation easier. Once installed the light work and look great but there is a pretty big learning curve on the app as well. I hope these last 10+ years because I am not looking forward to getting up on my ladder any time soon.
