I have chosen not to leave them up as I have existing hooks under my eaves. the lights are all facing down so I get the same effect. Just make sure you measure properly. I was short a few feet and unable to buy the extra strings due to low stock. However, I love the light effects and how you can choose your own colors and group colors and effects the way you want; all from the app. I especially appreciate the built in timers. No more programming a second timer, yea. These are fantastic and I will continue to add more as the years go by.

The Govee permanent outdoor lights have added a level of entertainment that was beyond what we anticipated . After being introduced to these lights by a friend I purchased the 150' box and excitedly waited for them to arrive. Installment only took around an hour and a half by myself. The app allows for ease of use and so many color and holiday options throughout the year. In one day I had 5 neighbor stop by to tell us how much they enjoyed our light show. I would highly recommend.

The concept is good but the product was not created with the consumer in mind as their is no consideration towards foundations and colors. The lights work completely unusable as the string/cord is way too wide and pure white which shows and stands out from the home.and or doesn't fit under certain eaves. I contacted govee for a full refund and was told that I "would be responsible for sipping because it wasn't a product defect." When in fact that's exactly what it is. So, I threatened to go to my bank for a full refund as I am not able to use this product on my home at all and then they sent me a return label. Do your measurements and research.

The lights look great when they are in place but that proved to be a problem after just one week when they had to survive their first rain. The adhesive pads failed en masse despite being "all weather" and having the instruction followed. I wont say the blame falls 100% with Govee, there is a lot of variables in play when it comes to use adhesive pads like this including activation pressure, the material you are applying it, and (even though 3m wont say it directly) humidity. It would be nice if an alternative mounting option was supplied given the price. The lights look good, but if they aren't staying up what is the point?

The lights look good but the app is lacking in what you can really do to customize your display. Especially when paired with other Govee products such as the RGBIC flood lights. You can only use their preset scenes to make them synchronized and match up.

Well I love the effect , I DONT love the fact that MY FIRST set of PERMANENT LIGHTS the power module FAILED and NOW I have to REMOVE AND REINSTALL the PERMANENT LIGHTS and hope the Module DOSNT FAIL AGAIN. The module NEVER got WET supposed to be WATER RESISTANT ANYWAY, so I'll try the NEW ONES and see what happens!

Lights are pretty good but installation is a big issue. We had to order a few more items to make the lights stick properly on the outdoor surface of our house. The adhesive provided with each led light bulb is not strong and doest work. For the amount of money paid, this should not have been an issue. Disappointed to be honest

Bought the outdoor permanent lights and love them. Not only are they bright but all my kids are excited about the colors change with each holiday. Another plus is they are hidden underneath the eaves of the house so i don't have to worry about hoa complaints

Sorry to say, but bought these lights for my mom. The app was super simple and easy for her to understand. However, the rest of the family liked them so much, they are looking into getting some as well! They were easy to install and the preset patterns are beautiful.

The lights look and work great. The app itself is a bit of a letdown. The controls aren't as intuitive and easy to use and I would hope. There's no way to take a premade setting and edit it for your own liking. It's not as easy as it should be, but it gets the job done.
