Not a consistent experience across Samsung sets

I have had this set for about a month. It is in my family room and is a size upgrade from a 55" Samsung. I have a total of five Samsung Smart TV sets. This one has a nice and bright picture but does not have an optical out (I assumed it did as my other Samsung sets have it) so I had to use an HDMI which is not my preference. The remote controls are simple and easy to navigate. The primary reason that I have five Samsung sets, other than they are a decent brand) is that all remotes are essentially the same and I wanted the same experience when using the smart functions as I have cut the cord. While the operation of the menus is similar for each set, I cannot get them to act the same way despite having the settings set the same. Among the things each do are: opening at the home menu, opening on the last used app, opening on the home menu then going to the last app and one will only open to Samsung TV (which I do not use). Also, sometimes, it takes a few minutes (yes, MINUTES) for some of the sets to find my network--other sets on the same network connect right away. That's annoying. So, I like the sets but wish I could get them all to act in the same manner.

55 inches is great

This TV is really got a great picture and I love the size. I hate that you can’t just turn it on and be at the channel you left. You have to push another button to get there too confusing for this old lady. i’m even using a universal remote control that’s got numbers on it Accumulate 150 minimum Tha Alive

Hi Holy cow, Thank you for choosing the DU7200 TV and for your review. You can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Settings > All Settings> General > Smart Features. When you set Autorun Smart Hub to be on, the TV displays the Home Screen automatically when you turn the TV on. If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app automatically runs when you turn on the TV. You can turn this function on or off. I hope this tip helps. Use Smart Things on Your Phone as the Remote

Excellent picture and sound. Very poor remote. Samsung needs to improve the remote and it functionality. However, Smart Things has a remote that is very good. Forget the remote. Use you phone. Smart Things even has the ability to make it accessible. Smart things saved me from returning the TV. I read a lot of reviews about the TV before buying it. Many of them mention the remote is difficult to use. That should be enough to get Samsung to improve their remote. I am thankful that I can use my phone as the remote in Smart Things. That saved the day.

Would not recommend

I bought this a month ago and the color and sound were great. I would have rated it a 5 but within 30 days it stopped working, no picture or sound. I've had several Samsung TV's and really liked them but lately seems like there are several problems with them.

Small remote control buttons

Unfortunately, I am not smart enough to be able to use a smart tv. The remote controls buttons are so small. Itʼs hard for us seniors with our arthritic fingers to maneuver. Also the key pad is not lit. Wish I could get a larger, senior friendly remote. Remote control has no microphone to search, even tho screen says ask......

Navigation is easy. Picture and sound are perfect

We're loving our new tv. We easily hooked it up and set the apps to our viewing preferences. It supports the subscriptions we have or may add later. The picture is clear and there's no need to add our soundbar. We downsized to the 55" screen and were pleased with our decision.

Great but not user friendly.

I replaced my 8 year old Samsung flatscreen with this 43” smart flatscreen. TV viewing is great and I have adapted several streaming apps. I am replacing the Roku streaming service. The instructions with the new tv were lacking greatly, especially with regards to the features on the remote. Little instruction beyond the power button function. I still don’t understand the function of three buttons on the remote control.

Fantastic Picture

I purchased my first 55” a couple of years ago as a gift to my niece. I was drawn to it because of the dozens of TV’s on display the clarity and definition really stood out. I purchased a 65 and another 55” recently for my home. The picture is simply astounding. It far outpaced the competitors QLED TV’s. I have recommended Samsung to friends and neighbors. They were all pleased with the quality and value.

Picture quality is good

Picture quality is good, design is good, but moving between devices is a bit inconvenient, and when adjusting the volume, it often switches to another section, which causes a lot of embarrassment during presentations. The TV itself is excellent, but the software is somewhat inconvenient. For example, the options that can be set within the TV and the connectivity between the TV and linked devices don’t work as desired, making it a bit uncomfortable.

I looooove samsung

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV and as a matter of fact all samsung products that I have from kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, my telephone and my tvs.. we don't do anything else but samsung! They stick by their products and make sure value comes first! Thanks samsung!
