I received a sample kit but the finishes were nice and glossy and the trim matched up well with the flooring. The floor plank had a nice foam backing that should help deaden sound/knocking and reduce movement. There are several colors to choose from to suit different color palettes.

The Select Surfaces molding kit is very nice. It comes in multiple sizes that can be used for many purposes. It can be use to transition laminate flooring to higher or lower surfaces and also between two surfaces of the same level. The look is beautiful and truly appears to be real wood. This product I’d great with laminate flooring!

Super thick laminate wood flooring with attached moisture barrier. I love this flooring. The flooring comes with matching moldings that are also of good quality. This is not the cheap laminate flooring you find in most stores or outlet. You will not regret investing in this flooring.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel like I can’t give a completely fair review of Select Surfaces Flooring. I was able to choose the color I would be receiving, but I didn’t realize that it would be a molding kit. I thought I would be receiving flooring pieces/samples, which I could have used, but there’s not much I can do with a molding kit without flooring pieces/planks, so I’ll do my best to give my opinion on these moldings. Select Surfaces Heritage Oak Molding Kit is a collection of the pieces of flooring that one would use to put wherever there’s a stop or break in the floor to add a finishing touch and protect and cover the edges of the floor. For example, where flooring comes to a stop at a door, a molding piece would be placed to finish it off. It looks like it would be simple to self-install, with easy to understand instructions on the back of the package. The very first thing I noticed about these pieces was the color. It looked lighter and more natural in the photos online. I’m looking for new flooring for my bedroom and bathroom, and that’s why I was so excited to receive this Voxbox. In person, though, it appeared to be a much different color, with different shading and texture than the online photo had. The laminate that I received looked like basic oak wood laminate from the 90s, to be honest. It didn’t appear to mimic real wood, at all, but looked very much like laminate. I took photos of it against the laminate that I have in my living room, and I feel like I can easily see the difference in the quality of the texture. I have a small half bath that also needs new flooring, so I may try and find the planks that match this Select Surfaces molding kit and see what I think. I do know that molding kit pieces are not always a great representation of the flooring pieces as a whole; they tend to look of much lower quality than the actual floor planks. This is the reason that I only took one star off. Even though I think it looks “cheap”, the actual flooring planks might look much better. I may end up purchasing the flooring that goes with the molding, but I don’t know if I can get over the color.

The moldings packs listed here and sold at Sam's are actually nice quality and of appropriate dimensions for single doorways. Select Surfaces sells 8 ft sections of their moldings direct on their website, intended for large transitions from open rooms etc. I ordered a few and they are of considerably different dimensions than those sold at Sam's and I'm trying to decide if they cause enough of a trip hazard to just throw away $80 worth of moldings. I emailed customer service and they basically told me to pound sand.
