I have been eating these Brach's soft peppermints for years, but this latest batch is absolutely horrible. They have almost no peppermint flavor at all and are just sickeningly sweet. The refreshing mint taste is completely gone, leaving you with nothing but a sugary, bland mess. Whatever they changed, it was a mistake. I won't be buying these again until the quality improves.

I bought this knowing that Brach's bought out Bob’s, I figured I would give it a try. It’s not the same, they are harder and don’t melt like Bob’s did. The taste is alittle different as well, a stronger peppermint taste. I wished Brach’s would have kept with the way Bob’s made them and not changed anything.

Bob's Sweet Stripes have changed. I stocked up a bit on these, because they're one of the few things that tame sour stomach. The first two smaller boxes (162 pieces) from from Walmart were the lovely usual. A lovely soft mint with no bitterness. Then, I opened up one of these bigger containers. They're not soft, and the mint has a bitter edge, and the stripes are a darker red. When I opened up another of the smaller boxes, I also found that they're harder and bitter. These harder, more bitter mints are more along the lines of "starlight mints," not Bob's Sweet Stripes. The bitterness can actually trigger my acid reflux. I'm very, very disappointed, because original, traditional Bob's Sweet Stripes are one of the few things that helped nausea and sour stomach, without triggering my severe acid reflux. I really hope that Bob's Sweet Stripes are reverted back to the gentle, slightly sweet, and soft product that I loved.

We have bought these mints for years now and loved them. I must do a new review now though because they changed the recipe. Now they just taste & feel like big chunks of a candy cane. Please go back to the soft mints that we have all grown to love!!!

Been buy these all regularly for months now you ruined them they are totally different hard all the way through not soft anymore they were my favorite i noticed they even looked different and they sure are different and not in a good way more like a ball of candy cane now

I don't know why...but the two tubs of these I bought that were well within the expiration date (by 1 year!) are rock hard. Since I'm buying them for folks in the nursing home this is a problem. And they aren't even soft enough for me! I strongly suggest buying York's Peppermint Patties in bulk at Sams instead if you're looking for a totally consistent SOFT candy. The York's are more money, however, they're great tasting, ALWAYS soft, the wrapper is easier to open because it's easier to see, and the older folks especially enjoy them and appreciate them as a real treat.

Love these mints. My husband and i are hooked on them. They melt in your mouth.

Hard candy, I prefer it a little softer.

Not what I expected as it is anything but soft. Disappointed.
