Delicious white cake with whipped buttercream icing. Only negative is that writing was not great. That’s a problem of not teaching cursive in school. I removed writing and re-did it.

Delicious cake texture (chocolate). The frosting was too sweet for me but others liked it. The confetti sprinkles were generous and presented well. The candle set included was very nice.

This cake was beautiful, but it was very apparent that it was a wrapper. The seam was very prominent and you could see all the edges. It was still a delicious cake for a good price.

The cake looked like there had been an earthquake. The ribbon was wadded up in places and falling off. I didn't have time to take it back to be fixed so we had to make do.

The cake I purchased was made like a 3 layer cake. This seems to vary from store to store whether you get 2 or 3 layers. The frosting was sparse, the layers were crooked and the layers had gaps where there was no frosting at all. Usually, they can make up for crooked layers with frosting but they didn't make any attempt to fix this one so when we cut it into slices, they weren't very pretty. Also, there were Jimmies pressed all over the sides mixed with larger rock-hard candy balls that are a hazard for your teeth. Sam's used to have great cakes but they recently changed their cake mix or something and now the texture/crumb is different and very "blah."

I'll be honest, I am not a "cake person" but Sam's Club cakes are my go-to for Birthday cakes. Ordered the chocolate cake (son's request) and it was a nice chocolate cake. Tasted like a chocolate cake is supposed to taste. No gastrointestinal issues like we've experienced from local grocery store bakery cakes. But the decorating....I LOVE! I love this "fun, happy, celebratory" design! SO happy with the cake! And love the ease of ordering online and picking up in store! And whoever wrote on the cake in icing.....I am impressed! I don't have that great penmanship with a pen, let alone with icing! I am so happy with the cake!

All the comments mention buttercream frosting on this cake, but it is not buttercream!! Very disappointed with these "fake" buttercream, it is whipped topping...big difference. I ordered a day in advance and asked for customization, nothing on the cake! i was on my lunch break and did not have time to wait for the seemingless non caring emplpyee to sloppily write my message! Sams has been one disappointment after another and ruined my birthday surprise!!

cake was beautiful but not sweet and dry. i have ordered all of our cakes from birthday to my sons wedding cake and never let down. I ordered this cake a week ago for my daughters birthday and was let down. The icing was not sweet at all, and the cake was dry. threw more than 1/2 of it away. Sadly, no more Sam's cakes for us.
