Intense Picture Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are seriously enjoying our new Samsung UHD Smart TV- we love all the features that came with it. We mostly use it for streaming movies and videos and gaming. We were impressed with the picture quality, even on upscaled content that's not originally 4k looks great, and of course 4k movies look amazing!

Satisfied

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) To date we are satisfied with our new Samsung smart television, if not happy. The picture quality improved setting the picture mode to "Movie", with the images and colours more lifelike. We were accustomed to a 60'' screen and this 58" almost compensates. We consider this to be a good buy for the cost, and hope our new television has a long life.

Amazing picture quality

Excellent picture quality and amazing vibrant colors along with awesome features and portability for hdmi and hard disks. Couldn't recommend a better television set for the right mix of price and features.

Great display, slow to turn on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my TV for Cable and streaming with my. SAMSUNG galaxy laptop and Samsung Bluetooth sound bar. It has a very slow turn on speed. The audio crackles when connected through Bluetooth or the direct audio line. It has bloatware that you cannot delete. Great display and vivid colors. Speakers sound great when turned down low.

Hi Cholly, We appreciate your feedback on the AU8000 TV. Please know we are here to help you. I have a few recommendations that may improve your experience with the UI and sound quality. First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. Next, for your audio connection, which is crackling, we recommend trying the Audio Pass-Through feature. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio. To activate this feature, go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > set to Pass-Through. When connecting via Bluetooth, there are a few things to remember. 1)You can't use Bluetooth devices and the Wi-Fi Speaker Surround Setup feature simultaneously. 2) Compatibility issues may occur, depending on the Bluetooth device (A Mobile exclusive headphones may not be available, depending on the environment). 3) Lip-sync errors may occur. 4) The TV and Bluetooth device may disconnect, depending on the distance between them. 5) A Bluetooth device may hum or malfunction: a) When a part of your body is in contact with the receiving/transmitting system of the Bluetooth device or the TV. b) The device is subject to electrical variation from obstructions caused by a wall, corner, or office partitioning. c) When the device is exposed to electrical interference from the same frequency-band devices, including medical equipment, microwave ovens, and wireless LANs. Regarding Samsung TV Plus: Samsung TV Plus can be disabled, which removes the channels from your default guide. Should you want to disable TV Plus, follow the steps below: 1) Navigate to the Samsung TV Plus app and press and hold the enter or select button on the remote. This will bring up two options. ‘Move’ and ‘Remove.’ 2) Navigate to ‘Remove’ and select. This option brings up the ability to remove the app icon or disable the service. 3) Navigate to ‘Disable’ and select. This will remove the service from the launcher bar and the channels from the TV Guide. I hope these tips improve your experience! If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Beautiful onscreen features

It has been amazing to see how clear and beautiful the picture is especially when the movie is UHD format. I would highly recommend this tv, it is lightweight and high quality. I am happy with my Samsung products and was very pleased with the new tv features.

TV is good for bright scenes, not for dark scenes

This TV looks nice in bright scenes, and in a lighted room. But, it has large withish areas/patches close to all four corners, that blur such sections of the TV, when playing dark scenes, or without illumination in the room. As we installed it in the basement, in a room without windows, the foggy sections are quite visible, and really annoying. We had already discarded the packaging, by the time we tried the TV, and I'm not sure how to return it, to be exchanged. I purchased another Samsung 75" TV (The Frame), within the same month of December 2021, and loved it! We expected a similar experience with this less expensive TV. Unfortunately, we got a defective product.

Disapointed

my 15 year old plasma started having issues so we opted for a new tv. the 50in au8000 crystal uhd smart tv picture is not as good as our old unit. the colors are not as "crisp" and they sometimes look "muddy" especially when viewed from the side. this was not the case when we saw the tv in the store.

Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode 1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. 3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. 5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. Amazing Quality

I spent double on another competitors model that was 15 inches smaller and not as great of quality. I am extremely picky with picture quality and I have no complaints. Love my TV!

Perfect television purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great, picture perfect, lots of features. We were in need of a new television and this one worked out perfectly. We had a smaller one and went a bit larger and so glad we did. Beautiful picture. Still getting use to features that seem to be more and more. Old school here so I'm not use to having all these different options. Great sound and picture, loving our purchase. Sound is nice and screen is bright and great for movies etc. My son loves playing his video games with friends. Very happy with this television and would buy another if we needed for another room at some point. Great options to pay off same as cash, great buy!

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the TV because our previous one (Samsung HD 50") died after having it for 6 years. Once we got the kinks figured out, we having been enjoying the TV. If you have a Samsung account, using the smart things app is really handy with this TV. The only downside we have is that the TV power needs to be reset occasionally, but apparently that's a common issue with smart TVs.
