Samsung AU8000

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv is nearly the lerfect machine. The colors are vibrant, the sound quality is too nitch. My inly comolaint is that certain apps crash very often, but a wuick exit and re-open and you're ready to go. 4.5/5 stars!

If your app is freezing, not loading, or crashing, you can try cold booting your TV by holding down the power button on your remote for 5+ sec until the TV turns off and on again, deleting and downloading the apps again, and completing full reset of Smart Hub to correct the issue. Please also check that your TV is running the latest firmware version (ver1577.3). Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update. Solid value with plenty of smarts

I also Love the built in AirPlay capability that allows me to quickly transform it into a large second monitor to share photos from my iMac onto the big screen much like Google cast.

We're really happy with this TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this smart TV for the master bedroom to replace an older smaller Samsung that is now in our yoga room. This TV awesome. The picture is beautiful It has a lot of streaming options. It took some effort to set up and the remote is confusing but ultimately our cable remote works great with it. We're very happy with it.

Great television picture 50 inch samsung au8000

just purchased the 50 inch au8000 television. terrific color and picture. i use the dynamic picture setting when watching tv in bright daylight, and in the evening i use the movie setting when the living room is darker. no problems with this tv. sound is great with my vizio soundbar.

Enjoying our new TV

Originally purchased another brand that was defective from day one , returned it for this tv, glad I did. The picture quality is beautiful and love the apps and voice control. Would have given it a 5 but the sound could be a tad better. Other than that it's great. Would buy again.

Great TV and great price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 3 TV's that were all 8000 series at 50, 65 and 75". They are all great and we love the remote and how easy it is to navigate. We're streaming our AT&T TV and all our other steaming services with high quality. Love them and can't believe what a value they were vs. a few years ago.

Average at best

I've had the tv for about 3 weeks now. Set up was super simple. The menu is easy to navigate and arrange to your liking. Great picture so long as what you're watching isn't dark. And that's where this tv loses 2 stars. Dark movies are hard to watch even in a dark room. Which kind of takes a lot away from the enjoyment of the tv.

Hi Itsame, We are happy that you are enjoying your Samsung AU8000 TV. Please know that we are here to help and have a few suggestions that may improve the picture you see when watching dark movies. First, I recommend using Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic. Or you can manually adjust the Brightness, Contrast, and more. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings. You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too-bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to: Settings > General > Eco Solution > Ambient Light Detection. Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV: Settings > Support > Software Update. Great tv

Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode Also, some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try cable connection again.
