These storage containers are very thick and sturdy. The cover has a ridge that extends into a groove so that liquid doesn't come out. The size is good for a nice portion for either lunch or dinner. These are a must have in your pantry! 1st time I bought these was last Thanksgiving for leftovers. I wasn't sure if it would be large enough or how they would do; they were absolutely perfect. Best part is when they get home they can heat them up right in the container. Love it! Now I buy them and have them around the house all the time for whenever I have anyone over for dinner or anything and want to send stuff home with them. I also use them for regular storage around the house. Sturdy too. Events or functions for any organization, these are perfect. Only downsize is they're sold out a lot.

The new hefty containers with the rounder corners do not seal good. I use the black containers for my leftovers to take to work and the rectangular containers sealed way better. I actually have a hard time getting a good seal using the rounder ones. The older containers are also more sturdy

I don't often buy single use plastic, but I was happy to see that as a 5, this one is easily recyclable. I filled it with water and tipped it, and was thrilled that it did not leak. That's an absolute must!  This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.

I loved Hefty 28 oz storage containers. They are great for leftovers but even better for weekly food prep. I can plan out my meals in advance and pull them out as I need them. I know when I see Hefty on something, its going to be good, tough quality. These containers did not disappoint. They are sturdy from the bottom to the lid. Sturdy enough that I can use them over and over. Cheap enough that I can toss it if it becomes damaged. I use them mostly to make single serve meals to store in the freezer and feed the dog her "special" food (vitamins, Cheerios and/or dry dog food and a little bit of protein shake). I wash them in my little countertop dishwasher.
