I bought this tv for my bedroom and it is the perfect size. The color is great and I love all the extra channels and apps that are available. The problems that I have with the tv are the size of the lettering for all the info on the screen, the presentation of the input selection and the lack of a menu. If these things could be changed, the tv would be excellent.

I bought a 32" about 4-5 years ago and prior to that I had a 64" from 2014-2019. After speaking to a friend that repairs tvs. I was told Vizios lifespan is about 4 years until they begin to fail and present you with their famous black screen. TVs are expensive and if im going to spend several hundred dollars I expect it to hold up for a long time. Since this is my 2nd Vizio and it did the same exact thing as my 64" in the same span of time. I will never purchase this brand again, EVER! I will be sticking with Samsung, TCL or Phillips from now on. Dont get s Vizio!

The built-in speakers are not the quality sound I was expecting, so I will probably purchase some speakers in the future. Overall a great value!!

Pic not good- have to get a Roku stick to get my channels-Xfinity-Returning this one and two 50 inch ones. I already have 2 70 in ones and LGs, but they are connected to boxes. Great pictures but didn't realize I gave to use a Roku stick. I will get some Roku tvs.

We had high hopes when we purchased this TV! It lacked an essential feature (bluetooth capacity to connect to speakers) but we overlooked it. Within days, it started disconnecting from the network randomly and the speakers started making a loud buzzing sound. We called Vizio customer service several times and they gave us conflicting information (they were going to replace it, then they were going to send someone to fix it, then they weren't going to replace it, etc.) and when we finally asked to speak to a supervisor, his lack of care for our frustration ensured that we wouldn't get another Vizio to replace this one.

I have another Vizio I absolutely love so I wanted to get another. This one is very slow to load, buffers A LOT, and sometimes will not load at all. The tv does not always respond to the remote. I upgraded my internet thinking maybe I had too many devices but that did not change anything. Overall, I'm very disappointed in this tv. If I could return it I would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After researching various models and because I had used Vizio products previously, I selected the D series because of the price and size. It was exactly what I was looking for.to fit the space I had.

This is my second Vizio in 15 years. At first I did have some problems, and once the tv had a very weird pattern, then it went back to the main screen. Sometimes the TV turns itself back on when I turn it off, otherwise for now it is a good TV, really way too soon to give a really good review.

I decided to purchase a Vizio because I had previously bought my son a Vizio 32" smart tv d series and it has worked great since day one. Without hesitation, I bought myself this 40" Vizio smart tv. Excellent choice.
