VIZIO D-Series 24" TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV for my Office desk to monitor news and use as a monitor for my additional computer. Perfect size, great picture quality, easy to use remote, 2 HDMI ports, with Google Chromecast and Apple TV+ built-in. Nice!!

Already starting to crap out.

I bought the TV less than a year ago and it's already starting to have problems. First off the User Interface for the smart tv is horrible. The ads are a nuisance, I shouldn't be getting advertisements on a tv I own. Secondly the UI just drags. It's slow. Finally and the biggest problem, it now just turns itself off. I only use this tv in my bedroom to watch tv before bed and the tv just randomly turns itself off. I've done dozens of resets, power cycles and factory resets. Still just turns itself off.

Great TV

So many apps to choose from I no longer need to pay extra for TV service, I have all the entertainment that I need for free.

Nice picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV has a great picture, and it did have good sound however after my kids turned it up a little bit louder than usual now the speakers kind of work sounding. There's only one button on the TV itself and that's the power button so don't ever lose your remote. Other than that I give it a four stars

Forced upgrades to the OS.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Continuously updates the software breaking things and confusing my wife, who's not a technology person. Please give me the ability to decline updates to the OS. I just want to have the TV turn on and go straight to my preferred input.

big let down from vizio

have had this tv for about a month now..great picture when it is not lagging or freezing up. won't connect to 5g on the router..only 2g which means if too many other devices are using the 2g on your router it will freeze during streaming no matter how big or powerful your router is. mine is netgear and capable of handling 10 or more devices and also has the 5g option but again this tv can't connect to 5g. sound is average for a flat ty.. i personally bought a sound bar and sub to go with it. if not for the wireless issues i would recomend it. my 40 inch Phillips was 5g capable and i never had issues.. going to return this tv and buy something different.

hmmm....

I understand that I purchased a bargain basement TV when I got the little 24" for a 2nd screen on my computer setup, but, truly, if you are going to make a smart TV, make one that will move at an acceptable speed when going through a menu looking for a setting, or moving in the guide. This thing is AWFUL. If I move the cursor 2 or 3 times in a quick succession, I think it's going to have a heart-attack or something. Even if you buy a cheap car that runs, you would expect it to be able to move around at the speed limit.

Everything I Expected

It's a TV but not what I expected from a smart TV

I bought this VIZIO - D-Series 40" Class (39.5" Diag) Full HD Smart TV as the Master bedroom television because I moved and the one I had in my room to begin with became the family television so I need one, I shopped for about a week and finally settled on this one it was a good price and great rating and picture so all in in all from the money aspect great television but we did hit some bumps. Bump #1 Setup was horrible after we put the legs on and powered it up it took over an hr to figure out and troubleshoot finally figured it out got my stations situated and went on my merry way. Bump #2 This is the biggest issue ever and I HATE that's its an issue... I'm a person that will watch/listen to a movie or show to pass out and will set my television timer to turn off within like an hour or two hours of starting the show or movie but when the Television turns it self off apparently it doesn't known how because when you turn the TV on all you get is a green screen and no way to get to your homescreen without going into the settings and rebooting the whole TV. Bump #3 Not a very loud television when playing shows or movies but when on the hone screen it's louder than the movies and shows so I figured in a small room it would be okay but nope I'm hard of hearing anyways in my left ear and need to have it at like 23 to hear it unlike my INSIGNIA in my living only needs to be up to 12 for me to hear perfect. Bump #4 I don't know how or why it happens only television in my entire house that does this and we have 4 television total and it constantly will kick my apps back to log in screens even though it has been told multiple times to not. So in conclusion I do not ever see myself owning another VIZIO TELEVISION.

Awesome for gaming!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv for my son for Christmas so that he could play his Nintendo Switch and WII in his room so I wasn't really looking for anything extravagant. But once I plugged it in and saw all of the streaming apps I was so impressed! Then when I saw the picture quality as I was playing games with him I was blown away!! I would definitely recommend this to everyone!!
