Periodic Issues but OK

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the tv for a little over a year. I've had periodic issues. It likes to turn itself off and just go back to the app homepage in the middle of a program. Also have issues with loading despite excellent internet connection and doesn't work properly if it's been on too long. I've done a few factory resets which is a pain to re-login to every app. Also, I wish there was a way to choose the apps you want on the home page instead of a long list. But it was the most affordable tv I could afford at the time which was the big draw for me.

It's OK for the price. Sounds tinny,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last week and set it up the same day. No screws came with the unit in order to mount the stand to the base. I had to use "quakehold" because the specifications, given to me by your customer service, of the proper size screws didn't make sense and I didn't want to guess at the proper length and use a couple of the hundreds of screws I have in my workshop., The process to obtain two screws was tedious and took way too long, and I still may not get them. Also, even after adjusting the settings with respect to the audio, it still sounds tinny. And, adjusting the video did not change the color and tint sufficiently to make the skin color on people or the color of objects look more vibrant. Basically, the picture looks slightly washed-out. These issue may not be present on a more expensive TV, but the price shouldn't make a difference since it's sojmewhat the same circutry. It is what it is! By the way, i have cable so it's not a matter of a bad wifi signal or some other issue with a dish. All of the other TV's I have look and sound fine.

It's a TV but not what I expected from a smart TV

I bought this VIZIO - D-Series 40" Class (39.5" Diag) Full HD Smart TV as the Master bedroom television because I moved and the one I had in my room to begin with became the family television so I need one, I shopped for about a week and finally settled on this one it was a good price and great rating and picture so all in in all from the money aspect great television but we did hit some bumps. Bump #1 Setup was horrible after we put the legs on and powered it up it took over an hr to figure out and troubleshoot finally figured it out got my stations situated and went on my merry way. Bump #2 This is the biggest issue ever and I HATE that's its an issue... I'm a person that will watch/listen to a movie or show to pass out and will set my television timer to turn off within like an hour or two hours of starting the show or movie but when the Television turns it self off apparently it doesn't known how because when you turn the TV on all you get is a green screen and no way to get to your homescreen without going into the settings and rebooting the whole TV. Bump #3 Not a very loud television when playing shows or movies but when on the hone screen it's louder than the movies and shows so I figured in a small room it would be okay but nope I'm hard of hearing anyways in my left ear and need to have it at like 23 to hear it unlike my INSIGNIA in my living only needs to be up to 12 for me to hear perfect. Bump #4 I don't know how or why it happens only television in my entire house that does this and we have 4 television total and it constantly will kick my apps back to log in screens even though it has been told multiple times to not. So in conclusion I do not ever see myself owning another VIZIO TELEVISION.

Green Screen

We exclusively stream using the YouTube TV built in app. About every other day when it is powered on, a green screen is the only thing that appears when we select the YouTube TV App and select a channel to watch. The audio is ok. The only way to correct the problem is to unplug the TV and wait a minute and turn it back on. This is very inconvenient since it is wall mounted and requires a ladder to get to the power plug. I have searched for other solutions but this is the only one that works. Not a way to build customer satisfaction.

TV is great! Software, not so much

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my RV, actually bought two of them. TV works great, the sound could be a little stronger but otherwise it is great. The only problem I have is that we usually have no internet or very slow campground WiFi where we go. The default is for the TV to attempt to load the Watchfree+ app on startup and it's kind of tedious and time consuming to get to regular antenna stations. No other complaints though. If the Watchfree could be disabled when the WiFi is weak it would be perfect!

Great when it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV is pretty nice overall but about once a month it goes into a "Smartcast cannot open" mode and we have to unplug the TV, re-enter the wifi to get it to come back. Yesterday I had to a factory reset to get it to clear the error so now I have to login again to all my apps :(

Worst tv I've ever bought

Just bought this tv and absolutely hate it. Just trying to get legs on was terrible. Can't tighten legs enough and now can't get the screws out. Tv is wobbly and leans forward or backwards, your choice. Takes too long to come on. Picture fades out unless you are looking straight on. My last tv was a Vizio and was great but this one Is a piece of crap. So sorry I bought it.

Enjoy when Internet is not stuttering

Great TV with sharp screen, and love the features WHEN it stops buffering. My router is located in the same room as the tv, and no other devices have problems. But the Visio Tv on streaming services buffer often. We're making a decision whether to take the Tv back to the retailer, as it purchased just last week…

No bluethooth and soundbar overrides tv speakers

I had to use Roku remote on my phone and use wired earbuds to watch at night so as not to disturb others. That limits you to channels on the Roku stick for private listening. I had to put the sound bar on a power strip because it overrides tv speakers as soon as you change the volume. I don't always want to use the soundbar. A nice picture for cheaper tv.

D24 TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for about four days. I like the picture quality and the sound is better than I expected. I was a bit annoyed by prompts to read the terms of use and other docs to enable some features. My plan was to use my Roku and not the smart TV aspects of this device. I cannot remember exactly what I need to do, but finally red the docs so I could finish setup.
