Great features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything right in the palm of my hand and at a great price too! It also connects to my Google home mini so if I can't get to the remote right away I don't have to! Very convenient and great resolution as well!

Situational Dependant

I've only had this TV for a week, and each day, I have wanted to take it back. At first, when setting up the TV, it is difficult to tell what you are selecting until after you hit the "OK" button. If you don't select data tracking, you cannot stream anything. After finally finishing initial setup, the TV attempted to download and install a series of updates; it was not able to complete all the instalations. Sometimes when turning the set on, it will not connect to the Wi-Fi; in order to remedy this, I would have to turn the set off then on again until it connected. Speaking of the remote, there is a lag from the time a button is pressed to when the TV responds. The remote which came with the set is not arranged the same as the one in the User's Manual, therefore, I had to play around with the remote to see what button corresponded to the manual's depictions. The menus are not intuitive, in fact there is not a "menu" button on the remote; these functions are under the "settings" button. The HD picture is great, but black screens have bleeding on the upper edge. The TV is light and easy to mount (once you figure out the size of the screws you need). TV is perfect for college dorm, children's room, or some other tertiary TV setting.

Great TV But Remote is Too Small

I bought this TV last week as a replacement for another one they had no longer worked and I love it. It was easy to set up the picture quality is great. The only thing I don't like about it is I have large fingers and the remote is very small and the buttons are too close together.

Works sometimes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll be watching a show and all of a sudden it goes to screen saver. I'll turn it on in the morning and it's asking for me to register the unit like it's brand new. I can unplug it and sometimes it goes back to normal. this is my third Vizio and my least favorite.

Bit more info.

1. There was NOT someone to help us on TVs, in the area we shopped. 2. My brother had some experience with a Vizio product, that is why we picked this tv. 3. We had questions how to connect a VCR/DVD. 4. Had to schedule a cable service person to help. We are NOT digitally inclined. 5. What we had going was correct. Problem with getting up a picture, had to call family member to help. It was like a missing part of the program. Other wise we do like the t.v.

Vizio is lowering their quality

The remote that comes with this model is a pain. The volume and channels buttons are too low causing a strain on the index finger. The previously designed remote for the 32 inch TV's worked much better. Also, the speaker quality compared to the earlier models is worse. Vizio is clearly working to lower the quality of their products in order to increase stock holder profits.

Terribly Slow

I bought this in January to replace a broken 32 inch TV. It says it's 40 inches but fits in our entertainment center which is only 36 inches wide (we didn't measure until after we purchased). We have the fastest internet in our area (400mbps) and it still takes our TV a while to start up and load apps. We have issues with lagging (voices not synching with videos), and the sound goes out intermittently. Just not really worth what I paid for it.

Hello MCLARENS6, when measuring a TV screen size, the industry standard is to measure the screen diagonally from the bottom left or right corner up to the opposite top left or right corner. When measuring this models screen diagonally, it will measure at 39.50". There could be a few things that cause lag or apps to not respond correctly along with audio sync issues, and I would like to learn more so we can assist with troubleshooting. NOT USER FRIENDLY!!!

Liked that this TV offered a remote with the number buttons on it(one of very few brands that offer this). this TV was bought for my grandma that does not use the technology that most do. It is extremely not user-friendly in my opinion. I live roughly 45 miles from her and have had to make multiple trips to her apartment to help her with the TV after other family members tried helping her. She has basic local cable and antenna TV without internet. I think if she were to have internet this tv might be ok for someone with little to no tech skills.

A Dream Machine !

I had a limited space requirement for a new TV, did some viewing at a local store, and found the Vizio 40 and 43 inch models had the best quality picture. Not able to purchase at the time, two weeks later I received the 40 inch model from my daughter as a birthday present. Set up was a breeze, and the fit was perfect. Connected to all my peripherals with ease and no issues - Vizio Optical Soundbar - Computer - Wireless Router - BlueRay DVD - Internet Service Flex Box. The picture quality on Default Settings out of the box was almost 3D in perfect HD. The input and settings control with Smart Remote is so easy to use, and the App and available shows Home screen is such a great feature. Every person involved in the development and production as well as sales of this product should receive bonuses for creating and providing to me a slice of the future come true in my life !

Great little Smart TV!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a replacement for my computer monitor that died. I measured incorrectly (top to bottom and side-to-side instead of corner-to-corner), and bought a 24" TV when I should have gotten a 27" TV. At first is seemed too small but after a few days, I LOVE IT!
