Worst tv purchase I have made

When I first bought this Vizio model, the screen would often freeze while watching netflix. I thought "no big deal, a software update will fix it". And it did. Fast forward about 6 months later.... Smartcast fails often fails to load. There's basically an advertisement that pops up before anything else. Hitting the "home" button does nothing. You have to press the "back" button to get out of this screen. Overall the software is laggy and slow. I would compare it to a roku stick from 2014..... It's that slow. More recently, say the last month or so, the tv won't turn on without unplugging the power cord and plugin it back in. Yes, I've done a reboot probably 50 times and even factory reset, which makes you go back through the setup on EVERY streaming service. I would not recommend this tv. I also own Insignia and Fire tvs that work great...maybe go that route.

My Vizio is a patio perfect addition!

I bought my Vizio and it was a super easy installation to my wall bracket for our patio because the mount holes on the back of the television were configured perfect. The picture is crystal clear! It was also very affordable with all the features anyone would expect from a leading brand television.

Nonfunctional TV

I did not like this TV at all. Took too long to down load, the set up took forever and the time was wrong. The TV goes blank and the remote is nonfunctional it sometimes can't turn the channel or on or off i have to unplug it to get everything started again.

I love Vizio products

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have four Vizio TVs in my home. I bought two of another brand and immediately replaced the one in my bedroom with another Vizio. Got this one for my office! They are easy to use and I love the layout!

Needs more apps

Bought mine a couple of weeks ago thinking a Smart TV would eliminate the need for my Roku. No such luck. Can't get most of the premium channels (HBO max and Starz for instance) heck, can't even get Discovery +. Need to work on the apps Vizio. The picture and sound quality are good though.

Work out the bugs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv just a few months ago and it starting having program issues. It would keep resetting and shutting off. Finally had to call support to show me how to go to default setting and start over but that shouldn't be happening

Great Entertainment

I like my new Vizio 32 inch tv for a smaller room. Picture in the 1080 is great, sound is perfect. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the remote. It is ultra sensitive and if I hit the wrong button, it's a pain to get back to where I was. No real manual was included so I had to search the net. I don't like the - on the remote when I want to get to another channel (4-1) for my choice. Kind of a pain. Don't like that option. But a good TV.

No RCA Output

When we purchased the D40F-J09, we assumed that the three RCA outlets that showed on the box were audio output. Our 32" vizio, that develped a hardware issue after 3 1/2 years, had RCA output that we used to connect to our amp and receive surround sound from the speakers. After much time from your tech support it was determined that these RCA outlets were input only. The spec page on your site shows that the audio output was on the bottom, that is not the case. After more frustration, our old option was to use the headphone output with a RCA splitter. That did work, but now we cannot listen to the stereo and tv at the same time, the headphone port cancels the TV speakers. If we knew tthe RCA ports were only input, we would have purchased the V series 43" TV.........

very good at everything

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like everything so far; picture is very sharp and color is vivid. Speakers aren't great but I don't use them. I had much worse with the TV this one replaced. I don't use the smart functions that often, but they work well.

First Smart TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The setup of this TV could not have been simpler. I had it connected to my network, all subscribed channels logged into and viewing, and had time left over to explore free Tv. The only thing I would have liked to have seen is an optical input for audio. Minor inconvenience considering all of the benefits I am reaping here.
