Excellent picture and sound

This tv has more features than i thought i would need but i am so impressed! I was fearful it would not work for me but my grandson assisted when it needed to be reset to update the firmware, and it now works great with all my other media equipment.

Wow!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this not that long ago for my camper and didn't wanna spend a lot of money but wanted the most bang for my buck. I'm his tv is perfect! The picture the sound and all the apps is just what I needed. Id definitely recommend this!

New home screen updatesw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had not used my Vizio home screen for some time. Have been using the Xfinity App. Went to home screen and saw there were updates available, and I was able to easily install them, and in the process saw things I could do from the home screen that were not available through the Xfinity App. Pleasently surprised.

It'd be nice if it worked constantly.

It worked very well when I first got it. Then, about 2 weeks in it just stopped responding to any commands. And when I finally got it to do one command it's stay stuck on it. I couldn't even turn it off/on without unplugging it. I did a factory reset and so far it seems to be okay. My first bad experience with a Vizio tv. This is my 2nd set.

Great TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent picture. Overall a good value. Once connected to a good 5G, responce to input was super. Would have been nice to have better options on the information bar. Other than just normal and zoom.

Nonfunctional TV

I did not like this TV at all. Took too long to down load, the set up took forever and the time was wrong. The TV goes blank and the remote is nonfunctional it sometimes can't turn the channel or on or off i have to unplug it to get everything started again.

Great picture, would recomend unit to anyone.

Worst tv purchase I have made

When I first bought this Vizio model, the screen would often freeze while watching netflix. I thought "no big deal, a software update will fix it". And it did. Fast forward about 6 months later.... Smartcast fails often fails to load. There's basically an advertisement that pops up before anything else. Hitting the "home" button does nothing. You have to press the "back" button to get out of this screen. Overall the software is laggy and slow. I would compare it to a roku stick from 2014..... It's that slow. More recently, say the last month or so, the tv won't turn on without unplugging the power cord and plugin it back in. Yes, I've done a reboot probably 50 times and even factory reset, which makes you go back through the setup on EVERY streaming service. I would not recommend this tv. I also own Insignia and Fire tvs that work great...maybe go that route.

Work out the bugs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv just a few months ago and it starting having program issues. It would keep resetting and shutting off. Finally had to call support to show me how to go to default setting and start over but that shouldn't be happening

Love this VIZIO D-Series 40"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] VIZIO was recommended to me by a friend as being a great product with great customer service. So when my old TV went out, my husband and I shopped for a VIZIO and we purchase the VIZIO D-Series 40" Class. We love it, it was easy to set up and the program walks you through each step. This is the best smart TV I have owned and I love it. I will be recommending it to family and friends.
