Good tv for the size and price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a small (24") TV to replace an older and smaller one in the kitchen. I had bought and returned several models. I bought this unit and it has lots of features and is smart. It offers a lot of flexibility to connect competing cable companies and programs. I'm concerned about increasing cable and internet bills. The image quality is good but varies with distances and seems to change. I would have liked to have audio input but it's not available.

Second Vizio TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my first Vizio TV years ago and still love it, so I just added a second for the bedroom. Amazing!! The image quality and color are dead on. The app controls all the TV's and different streaming services and is so easy to use. My only negative is the built is speakers are good, but not that powerful. Although It is easy to sync speakers to these TV's.

Better than i thought..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packaging was great ..i put it together easily.. setup took a lil longer than id liked but .it is what it is. I am overall happy with the tv .. only complaint i have.. is.. it took me about 4 days to get the picture adjusted how i liked. Far as brightness and warmth n stuff but it is well qorth what i paid for.. and more thanx

Nice quality video and sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this on Black Friday and we have been watching shows and movies on it over the last few days. Nice picture and audio quality. Lots of apps and the ability to connect with my cell phone and other apps. The live TV and free channels were a nice, bonus surprise. Set-up was a little time-intensive as the TV had to updates and restart three times on its own. But after that last reset, everything worked well. Our only issue right now is trying to get our Wii to connect with the se.

Awful tv

From the first two weeks I had the tv the mother board had to be replaced. Then I'd get a green screen when I turn it on. Now, it comes on by itself at any given time and I have to unplug it when I go to bed and go to work otherwise it will turn on. The worst tv I've ever owned.

Worst tv I have ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 6 month ago and have had to reset to factory settings probably 50 times and wasted many hours this tv freezes constantly and looses internet connection constantly only way to get it to work is do a factory reset the renter all my info what a joke

To power cycle a TV you will want to unplug the power and then hold the power button on the back of the TV for at least 5-10 seconds while unplugged. Broke after less then 2 years.

When i bought this exact tv less then 2 years ago, i was 100% happy with it but, just a day ago the screen went completely black. Audio works but screen does not. If you're not interested in buying a new tv every 2 years this is probably not the tv for you. I'm mad.

I love it!

The only thing I don't like is the feet. I prefer the pedestal stand in the middle. Because of the distance between the feet, I had to get a new stand for it. My old Visio tv had a pedestal stand and fit fine on my tv stand. My new tv's feet were so far apart that I couldn't sit both on my stand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Won this TV in a contest but I have other VIZIO tv's. I have it in my garage/man cave. Set up was breeze. I've only had it for a short time but so far so good. Probably going to look into a.sound bar because the sound in the garage/man cave doesn't travel well in that large space. But that's more of my preference then an TV quality issue.

No RCA Output

When we purchased the D40F-J09, we assumed that the three RCA outlets that showed on the box were audio output. Our 32" vizio, that develped a hardware issue after 3 1/2 years, had RCA output that we used to connect to our amp and receive surround sound from the speakers. After much time from your tech support it was determined that these RCA outlets were input only. The spec page on your site shows that the audio output was on the bottom, that is not the case. After more frustration, our old option was to use the headphone output with a RCA splitter. That did work, but now we cannot listen to the stereo and tv at the same time, the headphone port cancels the TV speakers. If we knew tthe RCA ports were only input, we would have purchased the V series 43" TV.........
