Good price, terrible performance.

I picked this TV up for black friday to add into a spare bedreoom. After unboxing, I got into setup right away so my visiting parents could watch whatever shows they wanted. After approximately an hour of updates, I noticed the app menu seemed to be really laggy. I restarted the TV, only to have it lose connection. Being tired from a long day I figured I'd give it another shot on the next day. When I booted it up again, I was met with another screen where the TV spent about 5 minutes searching for the network, followed by another hour of downloading updates 1 of 8 (the internet connection at my house is typically hitting around 90-110 mbps, so I'm not sure why the updates are progressing so slowly, or so often). An hour in on night two and the main screen is finally loading, however attempting to install or even browse the app catalogue seems to be more than this little TV can handle. 24 hours into ownership and I'm thinking this particular black friday "deal" was about $198 more than the TV is worth.

Vizio d-series 43 inch Smart TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Back back when plasma TVs were all the rage I got me a 55 inch Vizio that TVs over 10 years old and still running strong so when it came time to upgrade from a 32 in gaming console the Vizio D series 43 inch was an easy call to make if you're looking for something in between a 302 and a 55 look no further super light easy to carry set up an installation was a snap I would highly recommend your next TV purchase be a Vizio

Challenging Setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the setup was okay, however, the initial setup did not program the local cable channels. It took a number of attempts to determine how to program local channels. Finally found instructions in how to program local cable channels in the electronic manual.

Made for Smart People

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For those upgrading for antenna TVs this can be stressful. I hooked up to ROKU and having to use two controls to get what you want stinks. Don't know if anything can be done about that but I thought my comment would help.

Excellent smart TV!! Great Value!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this about 6 months ago and absolutely love it! We were recently new to streaming after we ditched cable and this was so easy to set up! The menu and all features are very user friendly and Vizio has an excellent support staff!

Crisp Image for a Smaller TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this TV as a gift from my boys at Christmas time and only recently got it hung. I love how crisp the images are and the sound is very nice for a smaller TV. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the remote to include pause, fast forward and remind features. And maybe an option to use a microphone to search instead of having to key it in.

Great Features & Great Clarity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my Christmas gift, and boy is it paying off. It was easy to set up, and I've already got all my app accounts transferred over easily. I love the color contrasts and the clarity of the picures. I'm really impressed and enjoying my new tv.

Not as Smart as you would think.

I liked the fact this tv had Apple TV in it but was very disappointed when we tried to load our Dish Anywhere App and found out it would not let us load just any app. We have a Sony, that of course we paid a lot more money for and we can add any app we want to, all we have to do is go to the App Store. We can not load the Life Church app either. This has been a learning experience. Not all Smart TV's can you do the same things on.

Great Features but

Great TV, excellent colors, pretty advance but way too many steps to started. Make a choice if I want to used it with my phone, not obligatory. Ecerytine I start my tv, keep asking ti download the app, I don't want to, too many apps on my phone already.

Great for a year, then disaster

No volume - so you have to unplug the TV, wait 60 seconds and restart, Sometimes even worse - no control of the picture itself. I tried a full factory re-start. Two days later problem happened again. Problems start after its been on for a few hours. That interval is shortening. Very soon I know I have to throw it away and you can bet I will NOT buy a Vizio to replace it. Very sorry to write a bad review - but necessary
