Its ok-ish

its ok. picture looks good but the system is running off a version of Linux which makes it laggy and slow some. there are a bunch of apps installed and no way to uninstall them or install new apps. i really like the size and picture quality but the smart tv side sucks just completely sucks. the remote is nice to me but the laggy system makes it annoying to use. honestly i dont recommend this tv except for the price and a decent picture quality.

NO PICTURE SIZE ADJUSTMENT!!

This piece of crap will not allow you to adjust the aspect ratio or even zoom the movie or tv show so that it fits your tv screen! ALL tv's have that option these days! So almost all of the movies available to watch will appear as a narrow strip across your tv screen. I HATE THAT!! The "WatchFree" app isn't any better than using tubi, free online. As a matter of fact, most of it is tubi tv. But the interface is worse making you spend more time looking for something to watch than actually watching something. Otherwise the tv is okay. I may return it just because it doesn't have a working aspect ratio adjuster or zoom feature!! GRRR!!!!!!!!!!

What Happened

I had the same vizio TV for 15 years, so long that the numbers rubbed off of the remote. I loved that TV. My cat was chasing a bug and knocked the TV to the floor. So I bought this TV to replace it. After a week I packed it up and sent it back because the volume is terrible. You have to turn it up super high to hear it and it also crackles like a speaker is broken. It's in my bedroom (not a large area). I searched all over the internet and tried all the different settings. I'm so sad. I really wanted to love this. Everything else is great.

Initial thoughts, etc.

No damage on arrival. Opened project looked stunning. Setup is relatively easy (screws were a bit tough for the leg supports). The update when you first turn on the tv takes about 10-15 min (maybe less with better wifi, idk). Picture quality looks great ( primary use for video games). Sound is quite nice as well. Would definitely recommend this TV. Will give future update if anything changes…

I purchased this tv twice, and had to returned twice. It keeps freezing. On my second one, it was not only freezing, but apps wouldn't work. I called Vizio and they told it was defective and will send new one within 5 to 7 business days. Never got replacement, so returned to Walmart. Don't waist your time and money. Don't get a Vizio.

Trash software, not a smart tv, just a normal tv

The whole ui and custom app store doesn't work, all the apps launch then crash, or don't open at all, absolutely waste of money, its better to just put your money into a slightly more expensive tv with a smart tv app like roku or fire tv built in then a custom companies system.

Good picture but SmartCast is worthless vs Roku

Picture is good, but the SmartCast feature is pretty much useless to me, as they don't have many streaming apps I use regularly such as Newsmax, Discovery ad-free, One America News, etc. Their solution is to "cast" it to your TV via iPhone or Android device and that just doesn't cut it for day-to-day use. After a day of messing with it I just installed my Roku Express from my old TV on the HDMI-2 port and said the heck with the stupid SmartCast, which has a really clumsy interface anyway, doesn't let you search for apps, only shows, a bunch of garbage apps that are a pain to re-order, etc. Otherwise the setup for my wi-fi and AT

The picture quality is not bad for the price especially if you're not into all that fancy stuff. My only issue is it constantly has problems staying connected to my home internet which most of the time requires me to unplug it for a few seconds to pick back up connection. I have always had hand me down televisions over the years. I decided to splurge on this television when I saw it on sale for a great price. I am not hard to please at all, the picture is wonderful and the sound is just fine. I have to use subtitles anyway so the sound is not that important to me. The only thing I wish it had was Bluetooth connection for me to use my headphones.
