The day it came in, I was able to shred 4 large garbage bags of papers. It stops when it's too hot, so you need patience. I think that it's better to stop than to overheat and not work as others I have purchased in the past. I hope I don't have to buy another one, but if I do, It will be from Fellowes at Sam's Club.

I have had this a couple of weeks. So far it meets all my expectations as the advertised product. It has a fantastic cutter in it and does a great job. A recommendation--make sure you oil it as directed every time you empty the bin--not a hard deal at all and you can use simple veggy oil from your kitchen on it when the supplied oil run out.

I bought this machine after having done a search online for the best shredder for the home. I have not been disappointed. It is my opinion that for what I paid through walmart and after using this shredder to destroy unwanted mail and old paperwork, that this is the best machine for home use. It is small enough for the home, yet it can handle a large quantity of work without a problem. It is so much quieter than my old shedder. You wont have to worry about waking the baby with this model. It is all that I thought it would be.

This machine is built like a tank! I couldn't believe how sturdy and well made this shredder is. After buying and throwing out other less expensive shredders that either jammed up or burned out, I decided to spend a little more and get this Fellowes machine. The convenience and time savings alone of being able to shred 13 sheets at one time is worth the price. It also has "safesense" feature that prevents you from getting your fingers near the opening. Add led lights that tell you how many sheets you can load, jamproof technology, a large easy to remove basket and smooth, quiet operation, and a great warranty, and you've got the BEST shredder for the money out there.

This shredder is a BEAST! I bought it to replace one that sounded like a wood chipper, had a wire-frame receptacle that leaked scraps of paper like a french-fry basket, and took more breaks than a municipal employee. It also required that I lift off the shredding mechanism to empty the scraps that hadn't already leaked out. Yes. I would have liked a receptacle larger than six gallons. But I didn't want to spend the extra money for the extra capacity. This shredder does everything I want it to do — quietly, reliably, and safely. And the part about handling staples and paper clips is absolutely true.

Not inexpensive. But: good design, good features, good quality, good guarantee. Claimed - good future service; in terms of repair, and ( ? maybe ? ) future parts availability. Works well. Good illuminated signal icons. Also, My wife likes it. ( even if, not me ).

Just received and worked on the first try. Easy to put together. I recommend putting the casters on for easy mobility. The safety features are excellent. Came with the oil and a few sample bags. Tested well on the first try. It wasn't any louder than the last shredder we had for years. Seems good but just received it. It is sleek and looks great in the workplace. It does take 16 sheets of 20# bond paper. Like the pull out waste container, less mess than a device where you have to pull up on the shred mechanism to remove the waste. So far, good to use.

I researched shredders until I was bleary eyed. After watching a video of the 79Ci I decided to order it the other night around midnight. Well, Sam's delivered it faster than stated or expected. Ordered Wednesday night and it was here on Friday. Simple unpack and install. Nice. Comes with bags and oil. having had two fellowes 80's before where the separators broke rendering the shredders useless, the separators on the 79Ci are new material and beefier. It's quiet, smooth, takes large numbers of pages. So far so good. I'm not anticipating any issues. And the Sam's price was better than any other on the Net. Only issue is bin is kind of small even though the say it's 5 gallons.

I have had many shredders and this is by far the best quality and the most quiet shredder I have ever had. Lots of safety features. I also like that you cant put to many sheets of paper in at one time. It simply wont run if there are to many pieces. Its a bit pricey, but with the quality of Fellowes shredders I expect it to last a long time. Well worth the investment.

Quiet, strong, sturdy. I haven't had it that long but purchased it because my father had one just like it. I'd used it at his home to do a LOT of shredding and it worked so well. He's had it for 2 years and has had no problem with it. This is the 3rd shredder I've had in 3 years and I feel confident it will last a very long time. I have recommended it to friends. The previous brands I had were not Fellowes.
