Good deal for price

I don’t know how I ended up buying this brand, the brand that I normally buy is way better than this. They were way too salty, and they taste like they just came out of the peanut patch had a hent of dirt taste to them. And most of them were hard/not fully cooked.

"Soft and mushy" best describes 20-30% of the peanuts in each can that gets thrown out. I love boiled peanuts, so I continue to buy them on a regular basis. Although maybe 30% of the peanuts may look really nice, uniform, meaty, and have a firm texture, the majority are subpar. Maybe 1 in 20 cans I purchase I would give 4-4 1/2 Stars. Thanks.

These peanuts are acceptable IF, A- you rinse them several times to lower the sodium level. While they're supposed to be boied in brine, being so salty they burn your tongue, is TOO salty, and B- if you put them in a pot, cover with water and boil them for an additional 15 to 30 minutes! How they come straight out of the can is far too salty and allante, which is not how boiled peanuts should be! They should be soft without being mushy. Only if you're REALLY desperate for a boiled peanut would I recommend these. They ARE better after the rinsing and extra cooking!

First-the problem: the cans come with both lift and peel tab tops (easy) and almost impossible to open seamed tops that have ruined several can openers. The technology is already there for the peel tabs - why not use it exclusively? I warm the nuts in a slow cooker, adding a little peanut oil (a tablespoon or so) an extra sprinkle of salt and, if needed, enough water to make sure all nuts are covered (sometimes there are more nuts and sometimes less). Slow cook for 3-6 hours. Taste just like roadside stand peanuts!

I have always loved boiled peanuts right up until I found a maggot in one of these nuts. I contacted Peanut Patch, sent a pic. They did seem surprised, mostly apathetic. I haven't had a boiled peanut since.

These are still in the shell. Shells can't be eaten. While I'm sure that adds to can weight... I threw it away rather than messing with de-shelling "boiled peanuts".

Almost as good as the road side peanuts. Wish my local Sam's would stock them.

these peanuts are the best i have ever had the price is great i hope that the auburn maine walmart will keep them in stock i buy casses of them
