With my traditional mattress I would wake up every night after about 3 hours of sleep with intense sciatic and lower back pain due to a bulging disc. In the 4 weeks that I have had my new Tempur-Pedic this pain has been significantly reduced. There are even nights that I sleep through the night without waking up in pain. I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone with back pain.

Adjusts to my body perfectly at night. My lower spine never touches the ground when I lay on the ground just because of my body shape. Normal mattresses never supported my lower back resulting in waking up with pain every morning. I am not pain free every morning and have some of the best sleep I've ever had

Well, first, we have not had the mattress and base very long, and it is possible that any review would differ over a longer run. Having said this, it appears that my wife and I (on a King long twin) bed, sleep more soundly. My wife has had serious back surgery, over the years, and it also seems that her constant pain is somewhat reduced using this mattress. I work out and push myself. I find that various positions of the base allow for more comfort dealing with exercised- pushed muscles. Our previous mattress was a very good and expensive latex and while the Temper-Pedic allows for a better sleep, I do miss an edging, as it provided a more substantial mounting into bed, especially since my wife and I are on the shorter size. I have figured it out, that is, getting into bed, but if one uses, say, bamboo sheets or other slippery ones, there is always the fear of sliding back to the floor if the mount is not successful. Thankfully, this has not happened, and the base is as low as it goes.

It was worth every dollar spent & I will never sleep on anything other than a tempurpedic! You must experience it to truly understand how comforting this bed is. This is our 4th Tempurpedic mattress. We've had them in a variety of sizes and models for different bedrooms, and there hasn't been one which we wouldn't firmly (no pun intended!) recommend. They're all great and we never plan to buy another brand. Better sleep, less (or no) back pain, extremely comfortable. Also, their warrantee service is A++

I decided to invest ina new mattress because I was having trouble with my back and the old mattress I had was terrible. After much research, and trying it out in the store, I decided on Adapt Medium Hybrid. My back pain got worse. When I wake up, I am so uncomfortable that I have to do a series of stretches to unkink my body. I am returning it. Unfortunately, the base is non-refundable. I'm just hoping the next mattress is better.

I had an entire spreadsheet of different memory foam mattresses filled with price, layer material, layer thickness, reviews, fees, density per foot, and I looked into the science behind the different materials, calculations for density, and what density and material is best for different body types and sleeper styles. Tempurpedic was on the list, but I actually ignored it due to the price. I decided on which one I wanted and went to a mattress store to lay on it before purchasing. When I got there they also had tempurpedic mattresses. So I said, why not try them out. After everything, I left that store and immediately bought a tempurpedic. It was worth it. They are the price they are for a reason. Other "bed in a box" brands just aren't quality compared. The only negative is that the bed does retain heat a bit. However, I do think that just comes with the territory of memory foam from what I found in my research. When I tested a few in the store, I found that the non tempurpedics heated up MUCH faster. Although i am happy with the medium, I do wish that I had purchased the soft mattress. I weigh 115 lb and I think I don't weigh enough for it to cradle me as much as I'd like. Overall, quality bed, worth the money.

It has not lived up to expectations, with what we paid I expected a comfortable nights sleep but instead wake every morning with a back problem. Talked to several dealers before our purchase and for side sleepers was told which would be the best choice.

We decided to save money, then we shopped for a mattress he felt like made him comfortable. We found the Tempur Pedic Adapt in a medium firmness. It's not that we had a huge budget for a mattress, but, sleep in cancer care is vital. So, this was the best choice for him. Our journey has been a long one. I don't have a Tempur Pedic myself, it was best we spent the money on him. I do not regret for one minute the money we spent. It has been well worth it, to see him sleep for at least 5 continuous hours!!!! So, when it comes to health, please, do not spare the expense if it is remotely within your budget.

But once I adjusted to this mattress, it has been smooth sailing ever since. No more tossing and turning, no more waking up in the middle of the night! I wake up rested and refreshed, and no aching back. The mattress conforms to my body and supports every inch. After five long years of sleeping on a miserable Serta Willowbrook that broke down just after the grace period expired, I'm finally getting the good nights sleep I needed.
