Yes and No

If you're using these as a liner - a heavier plate or wicker picnic plate, fine. Or, between stacked plates to protect them. As a stand alone plate, there is no support, no liquid resistance.

As good as you'll find in this price range.

I've bought these for years. They are fairly sturdy at a budget price. The prices has more than doubled over the years so they aren't the bargain they once were, but provide as much value as any other paper plate.

DO NOT BUY

These are terrible. They stick together and it’s near impossible to get them apart. Like they want you to use 4 of them stuck together and waste your hard earned money

Great plate!

We've been buying these plates for over 10 years. They're strong and what are resistant. The top surface is coated. This isn't a cheap Dollar Store plate.

In a pinch

One is fine, two works great. If you have a plastic plate, u can drop back to one paper plate, because the paper plate uses the plastic plate as a backbone, while keeping u from washing plastic plate. Smarter and cheaper, not harder and pricier

plates stick together

most plates are stuck together and its a pain to peel them apart every time i grab one. it looks as almost intentional but if not very poor quality control by the manufacturer.

Paper plates

I was disappointed with these plates. They were all stuck together and it takes extra effort to pull one off and when you finally get it pulled from the one under, its all bent up. Sorry but was disappointed for the price I paid. 😔

Stuck together, ruins strength.

The plates are stuck together in bundles. Trying to get them apart causes them to tear and leaves them weaker than they normally would be. Been having to double or triple them to hold food properly.

Easy Stuck Plate Fix

This is the best price I've found to date for coated paper plates. There is an easy fix for separating stuck plates. Pick up a 1" or 2" stack of the plates with 2 hands, slightly bending them upward toward the coated surface as if starting to fold them in half. Rotate the plate a quarter turn and repeat the slight bending to loosen all sides. Finally, rub your thumb from the bottom of the stack upward similar to rubbing the bottom of a new deck of cards to make them more pliable. This only takes 3 seconds at the most and is much easier to do than it sounds. My only complaint is that my most recent purchase had a strong chemical odor like burning plastic. Maybe they absorbed the odor from strong plastic stored nearby, but the odor emanated from inside the inner bag. I hope the manufacturer didn't add a chemical to keep the plates separate due to all of the complaints. I couldn't put human or pet food on them with good conscience due to possible chemical contamination. I hope it was a onetime fluke because I rely on these plates in a big way.
