They did seem to help some but are just to hard for me to take. I gave some of them to my son and his girl friend. They had no problem swallowing them and said that it helped them. Took one 1200 mg Maximum strength Mucus Relief tablet at 6 am because I had to go to work, then went back to sleep expecting to get a late start. Woke bolt upright 2 hours later when my bowels liquified. Had to stay home until noon because I was a complete zombie and felt it would be unsafe to drive. My cough has subsided a little but not as much as expected. Side effects of the 1200 mg tablet are not worth it, I may consider a lower dose for next time. There should be a warning about operating heavy machinery on the label, I was completely incapacitated for 6 hours. Also there is no mention of possible side effects on the box.
