I do have another LG tv that is smaller, but figured if that picture was good the 55" would be equal. After setting it up I was not completely pleased. The picture was not very bright and no matter what I did I could not improve it. After a couple of days I went back through the settings and saw a Power Saver setting which was on. Once I turned it off the picture improved dramatically. I am now a happy customer!

It’s taking a little while to get used to the picture, it almost looks too real. It was easy to set-up and we used some of the set-up recommendations listed in other reviews. We’ve only had it a couple of weeks. Time will tell, but so far we are pleased with our purchase and the price was right.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My T.V. Came with burned pixels. Even with the T.V. off you can see a 3 inch long white line on the bottom left of the screen. I paid $100 to have it installed so I pretty much just ate the bullet and left it as is. When I initially started using the T.V. There were some banding issues, but I saw a few youtube videos and was able to fix it. The picture is beautiful, the apps react very quickly, overall ill give it a 7/10.

There are a few issues. This TV needs a keyboard and some web-based shows are in-watchable because it cannot upgrade FLASH player in TV video driver.

It was a bit of a challenge setting it up, but otherwise very happy. The picture is bright and colors are vivid. I am really impressed with the sound quality which is much better than my other large screens by different manufacturers.

The only glitch in start up was due to the fact that it is located in our bedroom, it's too far to get a solid wireless streaming signal from the router in my office. However, with the installation of an outlet-based Ethernet system we were off to the races. I still need to work on the universal aspect of my remotes so that I do not need to constantly switch between them both. The TV is performing flawlessly. It sits atop a bureau at the foot of it bed. If I didn't know better, I would think that I had pulled into the front row of a drive-in theater! This combination of features, quality and price equals true value.

The picture and sound quality are by far the best in my opinion for the money compared to similar brands. This was my first lg tv but I assure you it won't be my last. Love my smart TV, which is my very first. I had read hundreds of reviews by independent Consumer Reports, and LG products seem to be rated at the top of their lists.
