I've tried the Coffee People Organic coffee and it was the WORST EVER! Then I decided to try this one since it had good reviews. I was skeptical about trying it because it's "organic". The coffee smell isn't really pleasant and it has a weird aftertaste kind of bitterness to it even after adding Coffemate French Vanilla. It was A LOT better than the Coffee People Organic Coffee. At least this one I can drink and finish off. A little better than what I had expected but not something I would drink again. Definitely a bold cup of coffee.

It was a love at first sip for me. I got this along with my Keurig machine. The "extra bold" part is misleading. It tastes more like a balanced medium roast from caribou/starbucks. I brew a large cup first thing in the morning. Occasionally, I brew a small or medium cup and add frothed skim milk. It tastes just like a coffee-house latte. I wasn't turned off by the mild aftertaste. A dash of cream/steamed milk takes care of that.

If you like bold and bitter coffee i guess this is for you. Honestly I like a smooth light-medium roast but i got this w/ our keurig neither me or my husband liked it. It had a very unpleasant taste and smell but it was stong so if thats all you like go for it. But to us it tasted like cig ashes in a cup. Glad we didn't buy ourselves and we wont.

We have a Keurig at work --which is why I now have one, because it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.I'm having a few issues with delayed or slow drip, even after descaling, so I pray it doesn't conk out. Anyway, this is a great coffee. Some mornings, it has tasted just the slight bit too bitter, but I think it's because I was reaching for it everyday, so perhaps I just have different moods. I just ordered some, and I have a beef that the price is higher than the others. Keurig, is it your practice to raise the price on one of your best selling coffees? That's bull. It's almost a dollar higher. Hmmm, that little dollar sure adds up to more profit for Keurig...

I never drank coffee until my 40's, gradually became a dark/bold coffee lover. This has a great taste without any bitterness and can hold it's flavor even with Hazelnut creamer. My teenager, new to coffee, has taken to Paul Newman's extra bold, now I have to buy more since he's drinking it, too :)

I drink one or two cups of coffee per day and this is my coffee of choice. I'm on my third box of 80 and I love it. It is very bold, and I love the flavor. The one partial downside is that occasionally the particular k-cup I have used can be slightly more acidic than the rest, but most of the time the flavor is consistent and robust. I urge any strong coffee drinkers to at least sample this beauty!

This was one of my regular orders for a while but this new batch with a different color container tastes totally different and not in a good way. This was a huge disappointment. Not sure why the change but they should go back. Also wondering if I can get a refund?

I was out shopping for k-cups one day and made the decision to buy three new flavors, I had never tried before, one of those three was Newman's Special Blend Extra Bold Coffee, I wasn't really sure about it and debated with myself on whether I should try it eventually I did deicide to buy it , all I can say is "wow" this is a really good cup of coffee, something different

This product is not worthy of the Newman name nor the attribute of special. I tried the 10, 8, and 6 ounce settings. I had to search for coffee flavor. The taste was watered down, diluted, as I would expect if I had brewed a second cup of coffee through the same K-Cup. I see a trend in the reviews, that it is not unusual to read that a product was once a favorite but lately has fallen way short of expectations. I suspect cost savings or mass production has led to a lax quality control. I have had other Newman coffees and found them to be outstanding. I don't have the money to reorder the good ones just to test my theory.

I tried this Newman's product because it was fair trade and organic. I love a strong, robust coffee and thought the EXTRA BOLD would be perfect. It is not at all. Mild flavor and NO kick that you would think the words "Extra" and "bold" would bring you. The coffee is fine for a mild roast, but do not buy if you are looking for a true Extra Bold!
