This coffee is dissapointing. I expected a bold coffee as advertised, but this coffee had a flat, watered down flavour like you would buy at a coffee shop. A coffee which you would purchase to use when your run out of your favourites. Okay, but not discernable.

I've never been a huge coffee drinker, I'm more of a tea person. I decided to try out different brands of coffee to add one cup daily for the health benefits. It took me a couple tries to find my right coffee, but this is it! I absolutely love Newman's organic special blend bold coffee! I won't buy any other kind. I love that it has a bold flavor but not so strong or overbearing. I think if you are looking for a great coffee this is the one!

The flavor is excellent. I like a stronger cup of coffee but not a tiny cup of coffee. I don't like bitter or harsh. I enjoy a heavier body coffee. Even though this is maybe only a medium body, this coffee has enough flavor to brew a large cup without compromising flavor. Definately one of my all time favorites.

I really did love this coffee and bought in big enough boxes so that it lasted me a long time (no one else in my house drinks coffee). I am now ready to order the next batch, read some comments here, then tried the new "red" label sample box I had. I still have a couple of yellow-orange lids left, so was able to compare/contrast. Unfortunately, not the same. Tried the taste-test again, oh, yuk. I am so sad, sad, sad. Truly blue. How can someone get so emotional over coffee, you ask? It's what makes me want to get out of bed in the morning! That is a big job for a little cup of coffee, and so now I've got to find a new one that makes me want to do a little dance down to the kitchen in the wee hours of the morning again. Sigh. Is there even a possibility that the blend can go back to the original? Was it a bad coffee bean year for Newman's? Is it coming from a totally different source now?

I'll wake up in the morning before my classes, and zombie my way to the kitchen and turn on my Keurig and pop one of these little bad boys in there. I sit on the counter and watch it brew, and bask in the amazing aroma. I wait until it cools just a tad, and drink it black and it's quite good. It provides just the right amount of kick-start I need. Sometimes, I'll brew more than I would drink, and leave half of it, so when I come back from the morning classes I drink the rest, and head out to my afternoon classes. One cup a day is all I need.

I'll put it right out front that I like my coffee fairly mild. I drink it for flavour, not to wake up or anything like that. If given a choice, I'll generally choose house blend or something mild at a coffee shop. That said, much like many other reviews, one of this flavour came with the K-cup machine I got as a present. As always, I tried a sip of it prior to sugar/cream, just to see what it's like naturally. It was, in essence, the equivalent of licking a battery post. So ridiculously acidic tasting was that first sip, that it took a LOT of sugar and creamer (flavoured creamer) to make it drinkable, since hey... why waste it when you can just cover up the taste. Long story short, instead of buying a bag or box of this flavour, I'd probably just buy a 9-volt battery to lick instead. Probably cheaper in the long run before the battery dies. But seriously, it LITERALLY tasted like I had licked a battery. HOW in the world this is one of the highest rated coffees here, I'll never know. But again, I tend to avoid the 'bold' coffees, never mind extra bold. People who prefer that are a bit... special in my eyes.

I like a rich medium dark roast coffee with full flavor and no bitterness. This is superb coffee! It also has a pretty strong caffeine kick which really wakes me up in the morning. It tastes so good I want two cups in the morning before going to work! The big PLUS is that it's organic. Can't get any better than that!

This coffee was my LOVE for all the years I have used a Keurig in my office...The aroma filled the place; clients would comment how great it was. I buy 80 ct boxes. I noted the packaging change and thought, "I hope they havent changed anything" When I inquired I was told "NO CHANGE". Really? It's terrible; no aroma, no taste unless you wish to compare it to perhaps dishwater. UGH! I thought perhaps a bad batch, so I tried another small box..just as bad! Why does any company tamper with their winner?

I bought this coffee based on the good reviews, but it's clear that many people here have no clue about what good coffee tastes like. This is honestly one of the worst coffees I've ever tried. To make matters worse, I bought an 80-count pack—what a complete waste of money! The taste is absolutely disgusting. If you care about quality coffee, stay far away from this brand. I regret every sip.

I don't know why there are bad reviews about this coffee as I consistently buy this here or in the local stores for it's flavor, texture and for the added bonus that it's organic. I do admit sometimes I get a "bad" k-cup here and there. I bought the ground decaf of this coffee for the occasion that I want a decaf coffee for in the event I am wanting to enjoy a cup of coffee within a few hours of bedtime...I didn't like the decaf version of this but the regular version is terrific. Sometimes you get a bad kcup in the mix no matter what blend you buy and it shouldn't reflect on the overall quality of the coffee itself. But, everyone's opinion is going to be different but you should definitely give this blend a try...if you are on the fence about it just try a sample of it if available.
