Newmans' Own is not for coffee wimps :~)

I'm not a "morning person" but I love getting up to a cup of Newmans'Own bold coffee. At first I wasn't crazy about this one but learned to love it and now I get upset when my supply starts running low. The best of the best when it comes to a good cup of coffee, in my opinion. Try it, you'll love it!

A good medium bold for large cups

When I first tried Newman's, I brewed the 7.25 oz. (pre-set factory). I realized that it wasn't enough coffee and that the coffee was a little strong and slightly acidic or bitter. I generally drink out of a coffee mug so I started setting the cup size to the larger size (9.25 oz). The coffee smoothed out nicely with no bitter or acidic taste. The boldness obviously decreased to a more medium bold not a french roast style but a good full body coffee. Just the way "I" like it since I drink my coffee black. If looking for a breakfast style flavor, then I would use 1 K-cup and set the setting on the smaller cup size(3.25oz) and then brew the larger cup size (9.25oz) and put it in my travel mug (a total of 12.5 oz).

Amazing coffee taste

The taste of this coffee black is the best in my opinion, beating out Starbucks and dunking for sure. Although I don’t really enjoy the way it tastes with creamer and sugar that much but I drink it black so if if you don’t use creamer and sugar either then you should buy a million boxes of this stuff

My favorite by far!

I was worried about trying this after reading the reviews but I'm SO glad that I did. I love this coffee. It's got great flavor and is bold and full-bodied. It's the perfect amount of bold, if that makes sense; strong but not overpowering. Also, this can stand up to brewing a larger cup and/or creamer. I haven't found any other that can. Try it, you won't be sorry.

Hardly what I'd call smooth

I'll put it right out front that I like my coffee fairly mild. I drink it for flavour, not to wake up or anything like that. If given a choice, I'll generally choose house blend or something mild at a coffee shop. That said, much like many other reviews, one of this flavour came with the K-cup machine I got as a present. As always, I tried a sip of it prior to sugar/cream, just to see what it's like naturally. It was, in essence, the equivalent of licking a battery post. So ridiculously acidic tasting was that first sip, that it took a LOT of sugar and creamer (flavoured creamer) to make it drinkable, since hey... why waste it when you can just cover up the taste. Long story short, instead of buying a bag or box of this flavour, I'd probably just buy a 9-volt battery to lick instead. Probably cheaper in the long run before the battery dies. But seriously, it LITERALLY tasted like I had licked a battery. HOW in the world this is one of the highest rated coffees here, I'll never know. But again, I tend to avoid the 'bold' coffees, never mind extra bold. People who prefer that are a bit... special in my eyes.

Great value for me

I love this particular coffee pod because I get an extra large cup of coffee out of it. I use a 22 oz. cup, run through 1 large cup then 1 small cup. The strength and taste is perfect and I get my 2 cups of coffee all at once. I use a Longaberger 22 oz cup which holds the temperature of the coffee perfectly until I'm finished.

Something a little different

I was out shopping for k-cups one day and made the decision to buy three new flavors, I had never tried before, one of those three was Newman's Special Blend Extra Bold Coffee, I wasn't really sure about it and debated with myself on whether I should try it eventually I did deicide to buy it , all I can say is "wow" this is a really good cup of coffee, something different

My Favorite

I love the coffee smell that fills our kitchen when this is brewing. Some of the coffees for the Keurig taste fine, but don't have the aroma while brewing, but this one always has a wonderful aroma! The flavor is bold, but pleasant. I've tried others, but always come back to this one!

Paul Newman's Specila Blend Extra Bold

I am not a fan of St******* BITTER tasting coffee. This coffee is bold and strong without being bitter. If you are a Fo***** or Ma***** H***** coffee drinker look elsewhere. This will not be a coffee for you. But if you love good coffee without bitterness, this is your coffee! Paul Newaman has passed, but his name lives on in his coffee's!

pricing

I cannot understand why Keurig charges a higher price as a member when the same 80 cup box is less expensive at warehouse stores. I would prefer to purchase here but with shipping it is too expensive. I do not know where else to go to answer this question. Thank you
