Like it a lot but seems like it loses connection to phone more time than I'd like. It's that blasted Garmin connect app that is wonky. Frankly, just figuring out how to get the connect iq store to interface with it is too many steps. But I'm glad I bought it. Just wonky connection stuff.

Watch is rad, but have had multiple occasions where after an activity saves, it restarts automatically and won't shutoff activity and then have to restart watch. Charging time is fast which is good cause gps tracking kills battery fairly quick in comparison to my fenix 6 I had

As with most Garmin products I've owned over the years, this watch functions superbly. In fact, there are almost too many functions! Aside from the wealth of data provided and metrics measured, the most notable element is the brilliant sapphire face. I've never seen a fitness watch (or really any watch) project so bright and with such clarity. It's a joy to wear on workouts.

As a former Forerunner owner, the Epix Sapphire is perfect for me. From the brilliance of the screen - more important for older folk - to the plethora of features, I am thrilled to wear this watch. Data for swimming, hiking and yoga is superb. Important: You must turn off Battery Saver to get sleep data. This is NOT listed anywhere. Overall, the clarity of the screen and the many capabilities of Epix Gen2 are just phenomenal.

My daily watch was previously a Fenix 6s. The Epix user interface relies on the same buttons, so is very familiar, but also has a touch screen (that can be toggled on and off). The watch is much more responsive and this is especially noticeable when manipulating a map view (the touch screen also makes map navigation much easier). The screen resolution is great, and map features are very easy to read (much more so than on my 6s). Readability is great even in bright sunlight, when the illumination is maximum. Unfortunately, the screen always dims after a short, configurable, time out, and requires a button press to re-illuminate. This isn't too much of a problem if you have a free hand, but I find it problematic when kayaking. The trans-reflective screen on the Fenix watches, though lower resolution, really 'shine' in daylight, so may be preferable for two-handed sports.

Bought this recently and you can't beat it. Have had the Venu and Vivoactive Series along with Instinct and Fenix and epix Gen 2 blows them all away. Health and sleep tracking superior; Activities tracking have so much data availability that you can monitor. Easy and intuitive setup.

Getting to know my Garmin has been quite an experience coming from Apple Series 6, but well worth it. My triathlon training schedule from Training Peaks pairs well so I can stay true to my workouts. The only thing I am having issues with is my music from Spotify cutting out during my runs EVERY TIME. It starts out perfect and by mile 3, it starts cutting out. It's very distracting and disappointing.

Advanced training metrics and sleep tracking have already made a difference in my training system. Things like load ratio and being able to account for all activities as accumulated load is a game changer, versus having a cycling computer that only accounts for cycling activities. Major upside is having all metrics available on my wrist, as opposed to relying on connect or needing to use my cycling computer to look at training history in depth. Absolutely love the all-red screen for night mode and the low-power faces that eliminate distraction during sleep hours.

I couldn't wait to change from my Apple Watch to the Garmin Epix . Unfortunately I was disappointed. I could not use my music apps. I also couldn't believe that as soon as I walked outside to my patio, the watch immediately disconnected from my phone within about 20 feet. Sadly the watch was returned. Also no charger came in the box.

I was not in the market for a new watch but I found this one on sale. I am using mine for back country adventures, the gym and daily health care. So far I have had it for about a month and feel like it's an upgrade to my fenix 5. The first thing is battery life is better. I love the weight of this watch and the look is spot on with class and elegance. I can go to the gym and out for dinner and not feel the need to change it.
