Bought this recently and you can't beat it. Have had the Venu and Vivoactive Series along with Instinct and Fenix and epix Gen 2 blows them all away. Health and sleep tracking superior; Activities tracking have so much data availability that you can monitor. Easy and intuitive setup.

As a former Forerunner owner, the Epix Sapphire is perfect for me. From the brilliance of the screen - more important for older folk - to the plethora of features, I am thrilled to wear this watch. Data for swimming, hiking and yoga is superb. Important: You must turn off Battery Saver to get sleep data. This is NOT listed anywhere. Overall, the clarity of the screen and the many capabilities of Epix Gen2 are just phenomenal.

I've been a Garmin device user since my 1998 eMap. I currently own a Venu 2+, Fenix 6X Pro and now the Epix Gen 2. My first step right out of the box was to hook up to Garmin Express and download all updates and load my personal music. So, what do I find? An apparently ongoing software bug that does not allow me to access "My Music" on the Epix 2. I'm far less than pleased with this development.

Getting to know my Garmin has been quite an experience coming from Apple Series 6, but well worth it. My triathlon training schedule from Training Peaks pairs well so I can stay true to my workouts. The only thing I am having issues with is my music from Spotify cutting out during my runs EVERY TIME. It starts out perfect and by mile 3, it starts cutting out. It's very distracting and disappointing.

I've had it for a month now, which is not long enough to give a decent review in my opinion but garmin keeps sending me emails to write one so here we go. It is a nice watch. I haven't been able to use all the features I'm interested in yet but will soon. I am disappointed that I can't use it to answer phone calls or reply back to text messages. You can see what the text says but can't reply. The ads and garmin website is very misleading with that. The body battery is very useful and pretty accurate. I don't play sports or run so most all the athletic stuff is useless to me. I'm excited to see how well the golf part works but again time will tell. I was disappointed to find out it does not work with any of my garmin electronics on my boat. It does work with my trolling motor so that is a plus. I will see how useful it is when I go fishing again. I have paired my Garmin alpha 300 with it but haven't been hunting yet to see how useful it is there either. I do plan to write another review after hunting and fishing with it for a while but maybe this will get garmin to stop emailing me for a while and give me time to actually test it out.

As with most Garmin products I've owned over the years, this watch functions superbly. In fact, there are almost too many functions! Aside from the wealth of data provided and metrics measured, the most notable element is the brilliant sapphire face. I've never seen a fitness watch (or really any watch) project so bright and with such clarity. It's a joy to wear on workouts.

Advanced training metrics and sleep tracking have already made a difference in my training system. Things like load ratio and being able to account for all activities as accumulated load is a game changer, versus having a cycling computer that only accounts for cycling activities. Major upside is having all metrics available on my wrist, as opposed to relying on connect or needing to use my cycling computer to look at training history in depth. Absolutely love the all-red screen for night mode and the low-power faces that eliminate distraction during sleep hours.

I've had the watch for a few years and I am OK happy with it. It does everything I thought it would do when I bought it except I thought it had all maps pre loaded. Instead it has only North america and you can load others as needed. The watch periodiaclly disconnects and needs to be re connected resulting in a long process and re registering.

After having a couple of Apple Watches and enjoying their abilities. Hearing multiple recomendations for garmin watches for the health tracking ability and the uses for outdoor activity tracking:hiking, mountain biking etc. I decided to buy one when I found it on sale. After owning this watch for a few weeks now I don't see myself going back to any other watch anytime soon and garmin will very likely be my next watch too. Now that I've owned this watch for 1-1/2 years worn daily for work and everything I will say it's the most durable watch I've ever had. While it's scratched up and shows its use now it still works as good and reliable as the first day I put it on. I have just bought a second watch hopefully for a slightly better battery life while in the backcountry. (The fenix 7x pro).

I did buy a epix 2 week ago, I am planning to use it for golf and MTB sports,, so far my wearing the watch on my left hand does not help with my golf swing and tempo., extra mass on my left hand in giving me undesirable results Next time I will tray to wear the watch on my right arm and see if there is any difference.,
