Kids love it

Took me about 60hrs to build by myself over a months time, gotta pace yourself. I also stained/resealed as I went for longevity. Also make sure to flag hardware packs with tape and relabel in numerical order, and put back as you go. Saves a lot of time. In the end, the happiness it’s brought my kids is worth 1000 times the cost of the product. It’s well built and the whole family can fit in the tower too!!

Granddaughter’s Birthday Wish

Every time my granddaughter would go to Sam’s, she would see this Skyfort II And beg her parents for it for her birthday. Oh sets of grandparents and her parents went together and bought this for her birthday. Her daddy put it all together pretty much all by himself and of course my granddaughter loves it. As you can see from the picture from Halloween see reigns over her kingdom from the balcony.

Very sturdy!

This is one popular structure! Almost everywhere we looked was sold out and then found it at Sam’s Club. If you want it built quick I recommend splurging and paying for assembly. We ended up paying the guys that are doing our remodel to put it together and ended up the same as the assembly option. It took them a week to do it but granted they hadn’t built a play structure before. They did a great job however and even stained it for us! We love it! Highly recommend!

Great playset

Kids got this for Christmas it is a great playset. Many activities for kids to do. This is our 2nd playset by Backyard Discovery. The first one had the tunnel on top. We do miss the tunnel but the monkey bars on the skyfort are a hit with my 4 yr old daughter. They love the crow's nest and picnic table attached is a hit with both kids! Only reason I gave 4 stars is because personally I fell they should have made the swing beam longer as to where when kids are on all 3 swings they wouldn't be so close to one another swinging. The other playset had more space between the swings. Because you know how kids like to start swinging sideways and then one hits the other and the screaming starts.

Installation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very pleased with the product. There are a few issues in the instruction that need to be corrected. Nothing major. Overall the pre drilling lines up well. I would recommend you not pay for installation by Goconfigure. Customer service is one of the worst be have experienced.

Completely worth the effort!

We bought the Skyfort II after scouring through multiple different play sets because we saw so many features that our daughter could grow in to. As a four year old, she loves the swings, the climbing wall, the slide, and the play areas. Now that summer has arrived we look forward to having picnics and having friends over. She added flowers to her windows and we added a teeter totter under the monkey bars until she’s old enough. I feel comfortable as a mom letting her play outside on her own and know that she is getting some much needed free play time. Assembly: We took the advice of others and watched some YouTube videos before starting. We spent one weekend separating out all of the items into step-by-step piles and the hardware into baggies. It was detailed, but it made the assembly process so much easier and didn’t waste my kind volunteer’s time. We assembled it easily over two days with 4 active assemblers. Our daughter was sliding and swinging by Sunday evening! I highly recommend the Skyfort II. We sealed it once last September with a water based protectant and will do so once a year to keep it looking great.

Big enough to grow into, attractive design.

Our daughter is 3 and she has new twin sisters. We wanted something she could use today, but would be fun for all three and their friends as they grow. The Skyfort II is nails this aspect of development! There is plenty she can already do, from the sand box, picnic table, swings, slide, and crow's nest (amazing!). There are also a few enticing challenges like the climbing wall and monkey bars that she will grow into. It is also attractive. I cannot express how important that is. Why ruin your backyard with a hideous monstrosity? Sure, it's for the kids, but that doesn't mean is has to be an eyesore. As they continue to grow our house will definitely be the place to be!

Excellent choice for my active boys!

This set was a great choice for my active boys! The glider is great for those who can't swing properly yet but I would suggest ordering the bucket seat for those under 4. My husband who is a skilled craftsman, put this together in about 60 hours with 6 hours of help from another neighbor. The key to this is defintely organization. You need to have everything laid out and make sure you read the instructions carefully. Most people would need 2 fairly skilled people to do this over the course of 2-3 weekends! All in all, we are thrilled to have this quality set in our yard!!

Lots of Fun for all

We purchased this as a Christmas gift for our 3 grandsons (ages 2, 5 & 8) to replace one that was old. It has great features & the kids love the fort. They prefer to eat lunch at the picnic table rather than come inside even when it’s cold. It is good for all ages & very sturdy. With the size of this play set, numerous kids can all play at the same time & it not be crowded.

Best Bang for the Buck

After looking at several play-sets, this one stood out as having the most features for the money. We have had it up for about six months, and my son still loves playing on it. It took about two full weekends for my Dad and I to assemble. It was relatively easy, it just takes a lot of time as there are a LOT of pieces. We had three cordless drills which made things go much faster. As other reviewers have said: Pay close attention to the instructions - especially the first few pages. The drawings aren't always clear as to which way certain pieces need to be oriented, so you may have to look ahead to make sure you get them right. It took us about three tries to get the base frames put together with all the boards (and pre-drilled holes) facing the right way. Once this was done, the rest went fairly smooth (Plus we made sure to look ahead if there was any doubt). There were 3 places where bolts and screws interfered with each other, but these were relatively easy to fix with a grinder bit on my Dremmel. All-in-all, it was a very rewarding project.
