I recently put this play set together for my kids, and they LOVE it. My mother and I assembled it, and it did take a bit longer than the instructions indicated (we are both relatively skilled at this type of work, and put in 4 solid days of building). On the other hand, the instructions were detailed and accompanied by clear pictures, which made the construction process smooth. All the wood and hardware were included, with extras of commonly used pieces. The resulting swing set it lovely to look at, highly functional, and great fun for both my 1 year old and my 4 year old. The sandbox and double swing are particular hits!

I bought Skyfort 2 about 2 months ago. Four huge boxes came on time. Nuts and bolts are excellent, lumber can be a little thicker. Otherwise, took me and my friend 4 to build it. It took one day to unpack and sort the lumber. For the price we got in Sams club this playset has lots of different features like monkey bars that you would not find on most playsets. If built right it is very strong and stands well on the ground. The fort is nice too. So far three kids used and abused it and it stands. I will not stain it the first year but will do it all other years. It is a good product for the price.

When we were looking for a playset for our 4 year old and 1 year old, one of the most important things we took into consideration was how long they would get use out of it. There are many sets out there by big name brands that have tons of features, more than this one even, but the overall "size" of the set is small as far as deck height etc., so it would be outgrown fast. This set is HUGE, as an adult I feel perfectly comfortable playing right along side the kids, and my husband who is 6'4 can even stand up straight inside the upper deck. I have no doubt that they will still be using this playset well into their teens. We purchased an infant/toddler swing off Amazon to switch out with one of the swings until our littlest is old enough to use it. Prior to purchasing/building, I was careful to read through all the reviews to take note of tips and tricks, and there were some I found super helpful and some that were a little over the top. Because we live in an area that gets a decent amount of snow and rain, I did take the time to seal/stain each board prior to building. There is a LOT of pieces so if you do this, give yourself a couple days, it took a long time. I felt that sealing prior to building was best because all the inside edges touching each other that wouldn't be able to get to after building would be covered, and I didn't have to work around any of the hardware. We did not organize everything by letter/number when we laid it outside to stain it, and because we were working towards a deadline to get it done prior to a party, we did not end up taking the time to move them around and do that before starting the build process. I believe that was a mistake and it would've saved us a ton of time during the actual build if we had laid out the boards in order so I highly recommend doing that. On the other hand, I personally disagree with the people who spent hours organizing the hardware into baggies by step. The hardware is very clearly labeled and easy to sift through since it doesn't take up a big area like the boards. We just made sure to use tape to close the bag back off after taking what we needed so there wasn't the risk of them spilling and getting mixed up. I thing the time spent doing that would be better spend just getting started building. We worked in a pair with one completing a step while the other pulled the hardware and boards for the next step and that seemed to work very well. I honestly think any additional people would've just gotten in the way. We were able to easily get through it with the instructions that I printed off this page, and didn't need to download the video ap. The most important thing is to pay double and triple attention to which way you orient the boards when building, so that the pilot holes are in the right spot for preceding steps. I thought we were being really diligent about this, but there were still a few times we had to go back and turn boards around from previous steps. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying so avoid it as much as possible lol Overall we are super pleased with the set, and found it pretty straightforward to build. All of the wood and hardware was clearly marked and good quality, we weren't missing anything. As long as you pay attention to detail and follow step by step there's really no way to mess it up. It took us a whole week M-F working a couple hours after work each night to stain the boards, then the weekend Saturday and Sunday working all day (about 12 hours each day) to build and were able to finish up Monday after work. So if you don't count the stain/seal time, it took us as a pair just over 24 hours to build.

We have had this playset for about a year and it is holding up well. There are many different activities and it can easily entertain 5-6 kids without them running into each other. I love the crows nest, but our kids don't go up there yet, but the slide and swings are a big hit. The climbing wall, ladder and monkey bars make me a little nervous because our kids are still small, but even our not quite 2 year old navigates the ladder well, and our not quite four year old fly up the climbing wall with ease. Assembly was a major task, but the directions are adequate if not great and you will get there if you inventory the parts and take a measured approach. I have some concerns about long term look and durability, as some of the boards seem a little thin for some of the stresses they endure (kids swinging on them, running and jumping on them), and the finish is also not great and is starting to show wood underneath already. However, until these become major issues rather than just speculative concerns, I am fine.

The instructions were quite accurate. Kit was complete with only one little bracket missing but we were able to pick that up at a local hardware store. As with any product, there are reasons to wonder what the engineers were thinking - the stove bolt/barrel nut/L - bracket combination is nearly impossible! (Thank goodness for Vise Grip pliers!!) Also, many of the holes were pre-drilled but there were lots that weren't for whatever reason. Overall, It's a quality, sturdy playset that should last a while. I should add that it's even nicer looking than what you see in the photos!

My sons picked this out and It was such a great buy! They get up a little easier for school so they can spend 10 min on it in the morning before heading to school! They call it “their park”. Best buy ever! All the features are great. From the look out to the picnic area. We have 5 years of play ahead if us at least!

It took 2 full days to put this together with 3 reasonably skilled guys doing it. The hardest thing was keeping my kids off the thing while we were putting it together. My 4 kids (range 1-9) think they've died and gone to heaven. We've wanted one of these play structures for years. We looked into several different kinds and felt the best about this one. This one has about everything you could want in a play set and is very solid and safe. Only recommendation for those building it themselves it to be very organized and systematic when you put it together. The structure comes as 4 big boxes with hundreds (seems like thousands..) of pieces of wood and screws/bolts. All the pieces are numbered with a letter and a number (i.e.. M12). Taking 2-3 hours at the beginning to lay out piles of all the numbered wood and screws/bolts is well worth your while and saves a lot of time later trying to find pieces. The 4 boxes are not very well organized as far as having what you need first easily available, so taking time early to organize it yourself is well worth it. We also plan to put a border around our play set and put some rubberized mulch in. A tidbit we are discovering is that this border and the rubberized mulch are VERY expensive and will end up costing more than the playset itself.... Anyone wishing to build a set needs to be aware of this, as it is a bit of a surprise to us... Overall, we love this set and would recommend this set to everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value for the price! Kids love it. But definitely wasn't made to support a adult. I mean it can. But it doesn't like it. Soft wood. Weed wackers chip at it. But just be careful. No real complaints. Just installation company is horrible. But not reflection of product company.

So much more for your money. You won't be sorry if you buy this play/swing set. Great price compared to other vendors. Did the assembly on our own, husband and son are carpenters. If not handy I would recommend paying the extra for the assembly. Great value for the money!

We purchased this set back in September and had it professionally assembled. The quality is top notch and there are so many fun parts of this set that my kids (3 & 5yrs) are still enjoying it almost 5 months later. They are always asking to go outside and play on it and everyday is something new!
