Our daughter has been loving this thing for almost a year now. We bought it when she was 2.5 years old and she could hardly climb the stairs, now 3.5 and she can climb the rock-wall. She only has the monkey bars to master, and I know she be there soon.

Looks nice and is very sturdy when all done, which is not what I thought when first looking at the boards in the boxes...some warped and they are not standard size 1Xs. Sort, sort, sort and prepare ahead before assembling! Use the pictures!! especially for locating correct boards because some are not well marked and pay close attention to the orientation of the holes. Reading at least one or two steps ahead will also save some frustration. Lots more predrilling than we anticipated, but two drill batteries and quick change drill/socket/screw bits saved lots of time. Some of the not so straight boards can be manipulated into place and secured - just takes two to do it. The instructions show the highest little window in the back, but we put it in the front as it is in the promo pic, and also the instructions show all of the window frames installed on the inside and we put on the outside because they look better. We had 2 missing floor boards and another split board, but just called the 800 # and they were at our house in 2 days (FedEx). No questions asked - great customer service. This set is for smaller kids and I think 10 yrs old would be stretching it other than the monkey bars and swings. I researched many sets and this was the best value, but I don't have kids at home all of the time so it will only get occassional use. You can find the instruction manual online by searching 'leisure time products sky fort.' It does look impressive and we plan to seal it every year to keep it looking nice.

I purchased this backyard set for my two kids, aged 3 and 10. I paid for the company sponsored installation service, and they were awesome. They had it up in less than a few hours, it is sturdy and very good looking. My kids love to play on it either together or with friends. The weight capacity we were advised was $1,500 so it is good for kids with lots and friends and family. Overall a very good product for the money, am glad I purchased it.

I'm somewhat experienced with woodworking and it took me about 2 weeks by myself working sun up to sun down to build it. I would recommend someone gathering the needed pieces per page and bringing them to the work area as getting up and down for me proved tiring (Pieces can be in any one of the 4 boxes that are shipped). I would also strongly recommend ensuring the ground is level before starting the project, and predrill anything larger than the woodscrews as the wood tends to split easily. To have this built by others would have cost around $800 when all said and done. I take great pride in knowing I did it myself. I learned a lot. Playset is descent quality and worth the money. Monkey bars are too high for my 5 year old to use (though that's the first place she wants to go).

With 4 grandsons ages less than a year through 6, I was looking for something that would last for many years to come and that would allow bigger kids as well as younger kids to have fun on it. Due to Covid, all playgrounds in our area had been closed for months so that accelerated my buying - what normally would have been a Christmas present. We purchased the set-only, not with assembly included. My son-in-law and a team of his friends spent a Saturday putting it together and, although took a while, everything was there and they were able to assemble with no problem that I am aware of. It IS VERY HEAVY AND HAS A LOT OF PIECES, as others have mentioned so having more than one or two work together is best. We all think this set is even nicer, in person, than we expected - and the 3 of 4 grands that are old enough to play on it really love it! I highly recommend this set!

I spent countless hours researching and trying to find the right set that would work for our 6 year old son (63 pounds and tall) as well as our newly turned 2 year only (27 pounds). Many of the sets have so many extra bells and whistles (tic tac toe, steering wheels etc) which jack the price up an insane amount. What we loved about this set is its large enough to grow with it and its all the stuff kids love at the parks. Overall I will say it is a very sturdy and well made set. Some of the boards are "peeling" and a few cracked while screwing in the screws. It took several days a few hours at a time to complete. Chicago weather kept getting in our way. However; I would say it is defiantly a whole weekend project. My husband, father and brother who are both in construction helped build it. My father joked that he could build a house faster than building this because there are so so so many bolts, and screws. The pre drill is nice because its all laid out but it also takes more time because it has to be perfectly lined up. A huge time saver is laying out each section and putting the bolts you need with it so one person can just grab and you aren't looking for the different parts. My biggest complaint which I later saw on a review on amazon is how close the swings are to each other. I wish the beam holding them was just a little longer. Had I known that we probably would of changed out the beam ourselves but we were too far in to do it once we realized it. The slide is also a little flimsy but the kids don't seem to mind it. All in all its a large and very sturdy play set.

Wanted something to help get the kids out of the house more when the weather was nice. We live so far away from the closest park, so I wanted something close to home, so we got this play set. A neighbor and I put it together in a few afternoons and we had no problems. Once up, it looks really good and the kids really love it!

We shopped for a long time to choose a swingset for our two sons (6 & 2 years old). We searched all the way from Amish built to buying plans and building our own. We found that backyard discovery was the best value. Mae Donovan was incredible in the purchasing process. We love the playset. If you want Fort Knox in your backyard, then this isn't the play set for you. You will spend over $10,000 to get these features in an indestructible form. We're more than pleased with the product and installation service. Thank you Backyard Discovery for helping us create memories for our two sons.

Our kids have an absolute blast on this playground! We are running into one problem.. the bar that holds the swings for some reason is very short and doesn’t leave enough spacing between the glider and swings. We have had a few kids get hurt.. my son was swinging and his friend went to get off the glider and it moved a little toward the right and caught my sons hand mid swing.. Wondering if a longer replaceable bar is available?
