They came be used anytime also for at home, i wouldnt recommend them being used in a microwave or dishwasher even though they are hard plastic i think it would melt.

The plates are durable enough to hold a full plate of food and are easily handled without worrying that they'll fold or crack. The kids were able to manage the plates and the adults were able to hold several in their hands (as moms do) without worrying that they'll break. We used these for an informal church event but could easily be used for more formal events.

I have been using them for several years, and never buy any other brands. I keep a supply readily available in my kitchen, and even use them for lunch and even dinners.
