To get the best results, we suggest washing your face and neck with warm water and mild soap to help remove natural oils and sweat. This also makes hair softer and easier to cut. The best time to shave is right after a hot shower. Be sure to apply plenty of shaving gel, foam or cream to soften the beard hair and reduce friction. Shave in the direction of hair growth for a more comfortable shave, or against the direction of growth for an even smoother shave. Do not shave in both directions. I'm very sorry you were unsatisfied with your experience with the Sensor3. If you'd like to try a different product of ours, I would recommend our Mach3. It has specifically positioned blades for closer as well as fewer strokes, each blade has been patented with a DLC Comfort Edge to help minimize irritation, also the lubricating strip provides moisture along with a smooth glide.
