Terrific Tool. I use it every morning. I love that I can use it and it is displayed in Garmin Connect App. I have it with my Garmin Scale and my Garmin Pro HRM. Also my Garmin 840 Cycle computer and my Garmin Power Pedals. Blood pressure is super critical to health. I am getting to depend on Garmin products more and more for reliable measurement! If there are changes I can make intelligent fitness changes. Don't quit. Never stop measuring to motivate and never stop exercising.

I leave this unit in our company break room where anyone can use it. Most people in my company have Garmin products (Watches, EDGE, etc.) and already use Connect so it was easy to add the BPM to our WIFI network and I invited the various users to attach to it. We all use it daily and log the data into our own Connect accounts. You just select the user with the top button. It couldn't be easier!

When I got the Garmin index, I was excited. I needed to monitor my blood pressure due to starting a new medication that could cause my blood pressure to rise. I set it up and started taking my blood pressure daily. The Index kept telling me I had Stage 1 and Stage 2 blood pressure. So I followed up with my doctor as soon as I could. Well, my blood pressure is fine. We did side by side tests and the Index is a good 30 points, on average, above my actual numbers!

I do not suffer from high or low blood pressure since getting myself in shape but as part of my overall fitness regime I have been monitoring my BP for a while now. As an avid Garmin user, this product's launch was timely for me and since I received it, has not failed me. In concert with Garmin Connect, I now have a full history of my BP over a period of time which I can share seamlessly with my Doctor. Awesome product.

Received the unit and took my first measure. It came back with a reading in the 'Hypertensive Crisis' range. I calmly waited and took several more measurements. Same results. I was not having any cardiac symptoms, so I decided to take a measurement each morning at the same time. The readings always came back in the State 2 to critical level. Armed with a 7-day report from Garmin Connect I headed to my doctor. The doc was great and tested my with 3 different methods, including a stethoscope. All of the docs readings were similar and normal. I also tested twice with the Garmin Index BPM under the docs supervision. Once again the Garmin Index BPM put me at Stage 2 (very high). The Garmin was reading 20+ high and I have returned the unit for a refund.

I'm getting a measurement of around 170/100, multiple times. I have other Omron BPMs and they're all sub 140 / sub 90. It makes no sense. First Garmin product I'm disappointed with. Hoping there's a software/firmware update in the next few days to get this working correctly or it's going back.

I purchased the Index BPM when it first came out in September of 2022. It is different from the Omron cuff that I was used to. After viewing the online videos on how to take a reading, it has been great ever since. After comparing several weeks' worth of readings with the Omron, I decided to stick with the Garmin. Also, there is the added benefit that your BP readings are seamlessly integrated with the Garmin Connect ecosystem.

I can't speak for anyone else, but my blood pressure usually only gets checked when I'm in a Dr's office. I've had elevated readings passed off as being from nerves or whatever, but this device is showing me I actually have high blood pressure and now I'm working on that. Very cool to see when I'm making progress and what's maybe leading to elevated readings. The extra user setup, took us a few tries to get my wife and I both added. Understanding the difference between the wifi and bluetooth setup is the key.

I bought the device three months ago and its main flaw is that it measures the upper pressure incorrectly. On average, it's off by +30 points. The error for the lower pressure is almost zero. All its other features are very good and I hope that Garmin will fix the error through an upgrade.

Overall I am very satisfied with the Garmin Index BP Monitor. Getting my Connect to recognize the device was a bit of an issue. This may have been because a Connect Update had recently downloaded. All and all I would high recommend the Index as another link in anyone's Garmin Bios Health and Wellness toolkit.
