Wanted to buy a device that would give me accurate results, most of the devices out there don't have properly calibrated microphones, so the diastolic reading is normally too high. As this is FDA certified, the promise is to have more precise readings. Nothing substitute a manual reading, but this is very close to what I get manually, also the convenience of the app to track readings over time is a very good feature for those that need to show it to their doctor. Kudos to Garmin.

Over the years I have owned many composting crffs. This is the least painful, my eyeballs felt like they were going to pop out with some, others were simply not accurate. I liked it so much I bought a second for my wife - you need.to site still for a while before taking a reading so having two made sense for us - one near where each of us measure. The software is easy to use. I wish the dis-lay was a bit brighter as I have poor vision, but it works. Usually the problem is they are so inaccurate as to be useless or rather scary. These units seem very accurate. Granted as a scientist I am likely a harsh judge of equipment.

This product works well if it's for only one person but if you share, it's quite frustrating. First, if you manage to load multiple users, it only recognizes one person before you have to reset the Bluetooth and/or network connection on the device. Then, after limited uses, it random knocks one of the users off. If the secondary user adds themselves back, the original account owner gets knocked off when secondary user gets added! After this happening a few times, I just stopped using it. Kind of disappointing such a piece of vital equipment isn't free if these types of bugs...

I monitor blood pressure daily. My very old wrist cuff died. I tried multiple brands for replacement. Had to return them. I don't like the standard portable upper arm cuff. They don't travel well. I have a Garmin smart watch. Browsing the site, I found this. It works great. It is close to doctor's office device readings. I love how it folds up making it very portable! Something to consider. It is sl awkward to position

I've been wanting a blood pressure monitor that interfaces to the Garmin Connect app, and now I have one. It works very well, and readings are within a couple of points of readings from the latest Omron I purchased. Very convenient to have it automatically post in Garmin connect. Easy to connect, fast readings, and easy to use.

I purchased the Index due to it's size and “all in one” construction, which I felt would be perfect for traveling. I currently own an Equate monitor, which has been going strong for a couple of years, but it takes up room in my suitcase. The only complaint I have is the cuff design. It's the same size as the Equate, but I am not impressed with the “strip” design of the Velcro. My arm size happens to fall within one of the plastic strips, and I cannot bent it to stay in place. It either falls outside the strip and is too loose, or too tight if I place it on the other side. I recommend you use a tankard “half and half” cuff design.

I've been using this every day and for the moment comparing with another arm BP monitor we already own. The results are somewhat inconsistent, so it's hard to be certain that the Index is better or worse. The readings seem to be higher than the Omron, but at least they are within range. Having the seamless connection to the Connect app is why I bought the unit, and that has been working absolutely perfectly. I'm a cyclist so the Connect app is fundamental to the way I ride, using it for metrics and gps on the bike, having my BP stats in the same place is a definite advantage.

Easy to operate, small to store away. this is the one that i wind up using everyday. the integration with Connect really is the big advantage. In comparison with Hospital and Doctor office equipment, it is pretty close (closer than my other consumer BP monitors). Reads a little high for me, but it is consistent that way, and better than the other way around.

I like the device however, the design of the arm cuff is strange and makes it difficult to get a good fit around the arm. The cuff uses vertical Velcro strips separated with space between them. The strap wraps around a metal bar and then you're supposed to secure the Velcro down. But if your arm size does not fall in between the Velcro straps, you have to bend at the Velcro straps which makes it difficult to get a good fit.

I love the unit and how it works with everything else Garmin that the wife and i have. Functionality is great and it seems to be very accurate. What I did not like and still have issues is how Garmin supports this. WE had to pay for a replacement unit and when new unit got here it had the same issue as previous. Would not load update so we could not add a second user... after additional back and fourth with support Garmin made an update on the server side and bam unit upgraded and both with and i could use. We still have an issue with timestamp of the unit as it does not update to local time and is stuck using UTC ,,, We both use this and because we are older and need to track our BP a critical part of our daily routine. Garmin needs to do better at fixing their side of things in the Cloud ....
