Awesome RGB Keyboard

I've researching keyboards for a while and decided to give this one a try due to what the AI search engines were saying about its reliability and mechanical switches. I must say I've never felt better keys ever. I bought the red switches and they are so nice. They say the red switches are the Linear Quite ones but if these are quiet I would hate to hear the clicky loud ones LOL. I would say the key sound is more moderate than silent which I'm good with. The colors on this board are amazing! Keep in mind some places are charging $150 for these keyboards. It's a steal at $89!

Great products

I bought this keyboard and mouse (apex 7 and aerox 5) when I decided i wanted to upgrade my keyboard and mouse. I decided on steelseries due to already owning a steelseries pro wireless headset and loving the quality. The keyboard and mouse are also very nice quality at a decent price for what I got. All the products use the steelseries gg app which offers ease of use and customization. I am loving these products.

My Review for Apex 7 (Red Switch) US

I like the soft keys compared to the last keyboard that I was using. I have been slowly upgrading my components and there are a few that I still need to upgrade at this current time. There are still things that I am discovering about the keyboard since there are many features that are new to me.

My Favorite Keyboard Ever

As someone who sits at their computer a majority of the day, I need a keyboard that's going to last under the millions of keystrokes I'll be putting it through. The Apex 7 is fully ready to do just that. This is actually my second time purchasing this keyboard; the first one I had lasted about 6 years with very little issues, so I wanted to keep that experience. The metal frame everything sits in is sturdy, easy to clean, and quite lightweight. The clicks of the keys feels and sounds great, if a bit loud, but the customizable RGB lighting beneath them is impressive (though you can only edit it through the SteelSeries Engine, which can be annoying). The volume wheel, media button, and mini screen above the numpad are all neat extra features, but the most important of them is the USB passthrough behind the ESC key. It makes plugging in a controller or flash drive so much more convenient. I fully expect this board to last another 5 years or more, though I do hope that the LEDs under the keys last a bit longer this time. It is not an inexpensive board, so it can be difficult to recommend sometimes, but if you catch it on sale it's an even better value.

I have a type.

I got this a while ago and it is working well. I am a heavy typer and managed to type right through the key on my last keyboard. The Extra usb slot is really nice and I plugged my controller into it. Every now and then it will disconnect now which I'm having trouble determining if it is the keyboard or the controller. Just because it didn't happen before doesn't mean age hadn't gotten to the controller now. That said feels great to type on and game with.

Good

the Apex 7 is an excellent keyboard if you're looking for a 'premium' board for all-around use. The first thing you'll notice is the build quality; its frame is made of aluminum, so it's very heavy, stable on the desk, and makes zero compromises. The switches here are mechanical (you choose between Red linear, Blue clicky, or Brown tactile), and they are fantastic and very consistent for both typing and gaming. For me, the best feature is the magnetic wrist rest—seriously, it's super comfortable and snaps on easily. And of course, it has that small OLED Smart Display, which is honestly more useful than I expected. You can see Discord notifications or the name of the song that's playing. In short, it's a very high-quality and respectable keyboard you can depend on every day, not just for gaming

Good lighting, great "touch"

This is my second Apex 7 Red Switch, if that tells y'all anything. I love the keyboard, it's responsive and solid and big enough for my hands. Only downside is the "volume roller" on this particular keyboard. On my last one, it was nice and smooth and had enough resistance to not mute audio when scrolling volume up or down. This one is a little more touchy and prone to mute. That said, I wouldn't trade this keyboard for anything. The wrist rest is perfect and the responsiveness of the keys makes it perfect for work or gaming. I just bought my wife one when her keyboard died.

Honestly just a great keyboard

I have had this keyboard for a few weeks now. I had an Apex 3 and wanted to see what something higher up the product line and decided on the Apex 7. I'm not a fan of mechanical switches because I feel that they are too loud and annoying and immersion breaking when gaming and very loud when doing recordings or screen capture. The keys are certainly loud but once you get used to the minimal amount of pressure required to activate them they can be nearly silent. This, in my opinion, is more of a getting used to not just bashing the keys thing. I do wish they had a keyboard with the same feel as these keys but with a quieter landing (like a stealth version or something). Overall great product and I do not regret purchasing it which in my case says a lot.

Good Keyboard, Some superfluous features

Bought this to replace my Logitech G610 which has gone out of production. I would prefer that it didn't have the gimmicky display or the colored RGB and was cheaper, but otherwise it's pretty good. The software was a bit hard to use to disable the RGB without turning itself back on periodically, but once I got it set up, it was great!
