A couple of years ago, I had a bit of a challenge when a business asked me to paint a wine barrel for a fundraiser. So I needed a good primer to seal the wood but was also a good base for exterior acrylic paint. Kilz was the perfect seal and the color made for an excellent blank canvas to get started. Kilz was the perfect primer for all kinds of mixed media approaches I used on the barrel. And what's great is that the painting has lasted, and not chipped or cracked off because the primer was good quality. If you need a primer for an out of the box project. This stuff is great on wood!

This paint is amazing! My porch is over 20 years old so the wood is pretty worn, but this paint covered wonderfully. It is very thick so it got down into the crevices and looks beautiful! Order more paint than you think you need because it is so thick it will take more than you think.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband found his dream home, however it was trashed by the previous owners. It smelled terribly of cat urine. When you walked in your eyes would burn. We used the Kilz paint on every inch of this house. Amazingly, the smell is gone!!! I was skeptical at first and cried every time I walked in. After the Kilz paint I'm a believer!!! I HIGHLY recommend this product for sealing nasty orders!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this with the recommended kilz primer (3) & it does not hold up to traffic. I made sure to follow the suggestions for temp., humidity, & drying time, too. The areas that are not walked on are keeping, but it's supposed to be walked on. I am disappointed at the durability & appearance in a years time & wish I would of kept the stain on it instead. It was a BIG project & took alot of time for it to be so patchy, & it's not an easy, quick, cheap fix. It shouldn't have to be repainted every year; that's way too much maintenance. I'm not sure what to do other than strip it all & choose a stain that's going to hold. (The pictures are just part of the project. I included a picture from 2022 shortly after applied. It looked great for a short time. The darker color on vertical laying wood is also a kilz brand. It was applied same time, & is holding up good other than a couple small spots.)

Easy to use and the wood that looked really bad, you can't even tell after paintng with this amazing product. I will definitely be using more of these Kilz products in the future.

painted 2 coats and this strains and scratches right off. very disappointed after that price per gallon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had an old wood floor in the entry way at the lake cottage we bought and renovated. Instead if replacing it, we used this paint in gray. It covered well, has held up well , and easy to clean.
