We're loving the ease and flexibility of using the Skylight Calendar. It would be great to be able to edit chores and dinner options, rather than fully delete them in order to change something that needs updating. I would also like an option to 'reload' my Google calendar in it to refresh / start over. I accidentally removed the color codes that I have saved in my google calendar, and they are no longer translating on the frame. I suppose I could delete my account from it and start over? It doesn't seem super intuitive to 'refresh' the calendar to reload original settings.

I was unaware that no ability existed to have photos on the frame without the subscription service, meaning the calendar/chores display all the time. I understand having the ability to have a simple upload and rolling screen saver is an added benefit, but eliminating the ability to have ANY photos display is crummy, and should be clearly disclosed. I haven't reviewed the product outside of this email response yet, but it will mirror the contents here.

I'm about 2 weeks in with using the Skylight Calendar. Family (especially my kiddos) seem to really enjoy it, so far. Everyone is on the same page with schedules, especially with all our sports. My son likes that I can add meal plans to it. This gives him a jump start on whether he should start complaining over tonight's dinner plan, or just be happy about it. Some things I wish this calendar had - 1) show all the calendars at the top of the screen, not just 4 of them. We have about 7 in our family and it's a pain to try and see just one calendar. 2) The option to lock down the chore list so a pin code or password needs to be entered by an adult to check it off the list. My kids are checking off items they didn't even accomplish to see the confetti. 3) I'd like to be able to rotate the 15" to portrait view, not just be locked into the landscape view. I know this is available on the 27". 4) Add a TODAY button for the calendar, or revert back to today's schedule after a 3 minute idle. Adding a button would make it easier. Took me a bit to realize I have to hit the date button to return to today's schedule. 4) It would be nice to add a screensaver picture. I don't really want family photos and to have to pay the monthly fee. But a screensaver that could be one picture (or even built-in picture options by the company) would be nice when the unit is idle.

I used to hand write all my events on a big calendar at home (I'm 43 - NOT a boomer) and a few things fell through the cracks. This makes me feel so much more organized. No more scratching things out in pen and running out of room. No more forgetting to take a picture of our hand written grocery list that stays on our fridge. It's all on my phone in the app. My husband now adds things to the grocery list before he forgets to tell me. The plus plan really is worth it. I love seeing photos that stay on my phone for years without being seen by anyone. I recommend this to all my friends.

Overall the calendar had been great and helpful. I have noticed that after 2 weeks the device has started to lag a lot and take awhile to refresh. I have started shutting it down every couple of days in addition to it sleeping every night and it hasn't seemed to help

I am an immensely forgetful person with a really bad working memory. , Especially when I am able to just quickly upload emails that include lots of dates and information that automatically add to my calendar. I never forget my shopping list as it is on my phone and my husband can add things to it or take them off if he stops by the store before I do. I haven't forgotten anything on my shopping list since we purchased this.

Great to have the photo feature on the skylight calendar. Great that it can sync with my other calendars. The app is clunky in adding the PDF and emails from the schools with dates. The years are off, sometimes adding years into the future or in the past. Had to manually delete the entries. Will try again and see.

I expected a lot more customization: alerts customized to when I need them to go off, multiple reminder options for events, the ability to move each persons task list around (currently they are in alphabetical order, but I want to place them in birth order but I can't). Events don't sync both ways, only from external calendars into skylight, not the other way around. So I had added a bunch of events in the skylight app, but had no way to get reminders for them or view them on my Apple calendar. I learned very quickly that I need to do everything in my Apple calendar. I could go on and on. My kids love it and overall it's a nice thing to have, but I could personally live without it. Hopefully it will get better over time.

I have been humming and hawing over this purchase for years. My husband bought it for me for Mother's Day and ZERO REGRETS. It's a fantastic tool to keep the family organized, and thus far (knock on wood) the kids seem motivated to keep up with chores.

I am in love with the Skylight Calendar! I have everything my family needs at their fingertips. I don't hear “what's for dinner 12 times. My kid can see the school lunch menu (I put the info in) and decide if she would like hot or cold lunch on the daily, takes 15 seconds. We are working into the chores feature, but love the little celebration it gives once finished. The list feature is great for making the many errands, grocery, and need to remember things. We purchased plus and that gives me the chance to magic import - GAME CHANGER! Seriously simple, send the flier/picture/email to the calendar email address and BAM uploaded and added to calendar. Plus you get an email with those events and an easy way/option to delete unnecessary events. When the calendar goes into screen saver mode I get to see lovely photos of my family and friends. Even videos play 🤯. Like everything in life there are still a few functions we would like to see. Louder alarm for event notifications, bidirectional with other calendars, recipes! But ultimately I am in love with my new Best Friend!!
