Bought this to replace my Apple Watch which seemed to be a bit less able to track my activities and physical condition than a Garmin is capable of doing. So far, it is ok, but perhaps I should have chosen a more advanced model of watch. Time will tell, I suppose.

I give it a 4 because I still really like this watch. I like the color display, brightness, speed with which it connects to GPS. My only complaint so far is that there is no running tab I can see on the watch of days I’ve attained step goal. Also you have to swipe to a different screen before you can see the exact number of steps taken (no option to show it on watch face). Would still recommend to others.

Great beginner watch for those becoming more active. Great way to track workouts, steps, sleep, hydration etc. As a novice runner, Garmin coach helped me learn about running and kept me on track. As I ran more, I needed to upgrade to the Forerunner as it has more specific features for running. This is a great product overall.

I boughtbthe Vivoactive 5 two weeks ago and I am enjoying it tremendously. It has just the right size. Has great software, snapshots, summaries, it incorporates lots of data. I sometimes can't turn off the activity exactly when I want, have to work the buttons for a few seconds, possibly my inexperience.

Overall, I really like the vivoactive 5. I've had a 4 for several years, and the battery life wasn't what it once was, so I decided to go ahead and get a vivoactive 5. I like the controls and UI really well. The biggest drawback is the fact it no longer records "floors climbed". Apparently the 5 doesn't have the Barometer in it anymore. Frustrating. Didn't expect features to be removed. Other than that it's great. if you've never had that feature, you'll not miss it.

Have only had this a few weeks, replaced my Apple Watch, learning curve so really too early for much review but love the battery life and ability to evaluate my sleep cycle. Not loving the band which gets hooked on clothing which I haven’t experienced previously.

After extensive research my wife and I purchased the Garmin Vivoactive 5. It's now been a of couple months wearing them 24/7 and we are extremely pleased! The watch is a precision instrument that reliably measures so many body metrics as well as fun things like the weather, emails and text messages, that you can also respond to. The brilliant display is absolutely beautiful and battery life is stellar. We charge once a week on Sunday mornings and there is always 30% or more charge left so the manufacturer's claim of up to 11 days is pretty close. The GPS feature will drain the battery quicker, but that is only used on specific settings where distance and a tracking map is desired. We chose the Vivoactive 5 over the Garmin Venue 3 because it is thinner, lighter, and smaller, the soft band makes wearing it effortless. We did not need the microphone, speaker, and EKG feature on the Venue, also the heart rate sensor on the vivoactive 5, although not as elaborate as the Venue, is still state of the art and functions flawlessly. We are 100% glad we chose the vivoactive 5 over everything else we looked at. The health benefits of having this watch have been substantial for us. Being able to actually look at graphs and charts of sleep patterns, hydration, heart rate, stress, etc etc have given us great insight into adjusting our daily life. We really appreciate the technology, ease of use and the quality built-in by Garmin.

I love the Vivoactive 5. There are great upgrades from the 4 version. I love the blue option. The Garmin Connect app is easy to use and gives me all the information I need. I love how all the Garmin products work together and the app keeps all the stats. I recommend Garmin to everyone!

I wanted a basic watch & was very happy with the VivoActive 3. It was time to update it & the 5 is a great option. Affordable with much better features than what I had. The band is very soft, comfortable & fits my wrist very well. The screen is clear & easy to read. Overall I feel this is a great entry/mid level watch for those who are looking for something that has a fair amount of functionality & is affordable.

I’m loving my new Vivoactive watch. I previously had a Garmin Instinct and found it hard to read and the multiple buttons not very efficient. The Vivoactive screen is very easy for my 68 year old eyes to read and having fewer buttons more efficient to get where I want to be.
