I thought the smell would be too strong and too chemically, or that it would make my clothes feel weird. Instead I found it to provide the perfect level of scent with no stiffness/tackiness to the clothing (or in my case, towels and sheets). I think I prefer other scents to this - I especially like the "light" scent versions - but the performance was great. I definitely plan to buy and use for things that I want to smell fresh for longer.

I put this in the bottom of my top load washer, added clothes and then laundry soap. The scent beads dissolved nicely without any sticky residue. The only drawback to this is the price.
