Thankfully that wasn't the case at all. I used half the sample pack for one big load and everything smelled so good. The smell wasn't strong or overwhelming. You can smell it on yourself or others all day and then some! Unused, washed, clothing still smells good after a week of being in the dresser. I don't think I'll wash laundry again without using a Downy scent booster. Very impressive product.

I have no ides idea what these little pellets are made of , but they work. They really give my laundry a fresh scent with no other evidence they were ever there. Especially great for my husbands gym clothes. These are now a must have in my laundry cabinet.
