Having the small knife with changeable blades makes for easy, accurate cut outs, especially on the included cutting mat. I also like the grid markers on the mat so I don’t have to search for a ruler. The paper cutter makes straight and precise cuts as well, saving me time! This would make a great gift for my younger crafting friends, too.

I find the trimmer works well with a plastic canvas sheet and the measuring mat makes it easy to get sizes quickly. The hobby knife with the different blades works for harder to cut out patterns. The Rotary cuter is easy to use and precise cutting. Self-healing mat helps prolong the life the mat; therefore, saving the sewing person money in the long run. Definitely, a great investment!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had so much fun with this craft kit by Westcott. I've started some Spring pieces with this craft kit. The items that came with the kit, played a huge part in my Spring crafts. I highly recommend this craft kit, if your into crafts.

The blue cutting mat is just what I needed for lighter color fabrics. I love the scissors and cutting knife, they work great. The trimmer was disappointing. The ruler is hard to see thru being dark blue and the numbers are hard to see. Metric numbers show up better than Imperial. There is no expandable arm to come out and measure standard size paper. I will probably only use it for Iron-on adhesives like Heat n Bond which I cut all the time.
