I say it would be like putting 6 cheap paper plates together to get the strength of o e Chinese plate.It doesn't soak through either. My family loves them because we can eat spaghetti a d sauce.They are microwavable too.

They are tougher than our everyday plate and would be perfect for cookouts when people may mold their food plates on the laps instead of at tables. These are tough enough for that! I would highly recommend these plates!

Most plates tend to leave our wooden table with a coating of plastic if hot. These don’t do that! Their thick construction makes them able to stand up to heat and sauces like a champ.

They seem sturdy as they hold up well against my toddlers' rough handling. They are disposable but since they are durable, we hand wash them and reuse until they break. It's perfect to bring during picnics and camping since they're light and doesn't take up much space.

We heat our pie in the microwave in them and then scoop a bunch of pie on top. Always hold up. No drooping or sagging on these plates. We use them to heat up sandwiches too and left overs. I call all my chinet my fine china.lol.. we use chinet everyday. I hate washing dishes. So everyone knows they better use Chinet or they are going to be doing some dish washing.
