I say it would be like putting 6 cheap paper plates together to get the strength of o e Chinese plate.It doesn't soak through either. My family loves them because we can eat spaghetti a d sauce.They are microwavable too.

They would be great for baby showers, weddings, birthday parties and other events and gatherings. These plates are very strong. Well made, durable material and had a pleasant amount of plates in the container. I will definitely be looking into these again for our picnics, parties, and get togethers.

They are sturdy, a generous size, can hold its own against any pie, cake, brownie (or brownie sundae), and the minimalist design is classy and clean looking. With Chinet, I never have to worry about soggy plates, even with ice cream, and the generous size makes it easy to add an extra scoop or two.

The plate was strong and after the birthday party I did not have any that were broken or cracked. In this throw away society, I was not ashamed of washing and reusing the plates as they are good enough quality for another round of serving dessert at the next event.
