Brought this for my daughter for her freshman year in high school as it was required. She loves the colored graphs and the functions. I don't think I've ever seen her rave so much about a calculator (and she loves math). I anticipate her using this way into her college years.

Wonderful calculator wonderful price, I already had previous knowledge on how to operate a Texas instrument calculator but for someone who has never operated a Texas instrument before I would recommend this calculator due to the wonderful screen and vivid colors compared to the other models.

My son like it a lot,he was wish if the manual has more details on how to use it, But it has a direction on line,so he decide to go to that website and teach himself, It will be a lot more practical if it come with little booklet to teach more, But overall he enjoy it,and find it a good helper for him.

Bought this for my daughter, she is going to be a sophomore this year. She will be using it for Geometry and Biology. I shopped around and the average price was $134-120, good thing I was shopping around and managed to get it for a steal $97. It's a color graphing calculator and you can't beat that. I just hope that she takes advantage of the many application and uses of the Texas Instrument calculator.

I purchased the calculator for my daughter. She was struggling in her math class because, at the time, she had a basic calculator, and it didn't help her solve geometric formulas, etc. This calculator was recommended by her math teacher, and after I purchased it for her, I saw an immediate improvement in her grades. It was worth the investment.

From middle school to college level Mathematics, this calculator has something to offer every student. I would recommend this to anyone taking Math. (And it even came with batteries)

My daughter started her 10th grade math this year. We ordered this calculator online and got the purchasing message right away, we pick it up in our local Walmart the next day. My daughter loves its colorful graphing function very much, she has been excited for weeks and enjoys to use this calculator everyday :)

Purchased the TI-84 calculator for my daughter attending college. It is just what she needs for her Math classes. One thing about this calculator is the graphs are in one color, which means some calculators have 2 colors to compare graphs to each other. This calculator has one color for the graphs. One plus is it rarely needs charging. She has had it a little over month and hasn't had to charge it once. Great purchase overall.

My son needed this for Algebra this year. Looked all over for a good deal because this particular model was expensive. Found it on sale so I was happy! I ordered a gray, but got a black. Can't really complain - he liked it just fine. It's heavier and bulkier than the lower models, but I am hoping this will carry him through high school and beyond. It does come with a sliding case which is good because you couldn't tell from the pictures.

I am a sophomore in high school and I will be taking AP Calculus soon. This class also has a bit of Trigonometry. I have tried various mathematical problems, ranging from the most complex, to the simplest of them all. After doing so, I learned that this calculator is very efficient and fast in solving practically any math problem the average high schooler will see. In addition to its efficiency, it allows for multiple applications which you can easily download from a computer. I have to admit, though, that the buttons and controls may be a bit confusing to someone new to the TI calculator series. However, with a bit of practice and reading, this calculator will be simple. The TI-84 plus is truly a good option for a student in need of a graphing calculator, but isn't wealthy enough to afford those flashy, color calculators.
