Probably not buying this again.

My parents are big doomsday believers and are trying their hardest to shape me into one. They requested that I went out and got a few cans of these, and now that we're cracking into them after a good 8 months because we're not moving. The can said "Best by october, 2018" but it tastes absolutely awful! It tastes as if someone poured a pint of salt into it and it has a real grainy texture. I also agree with most of the people on here, raise the price, bring the real meat back!

Delicious and filling as an occasional family meal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dinty Moore is the classic taste for canned stew, though not something my family can eat everyday. However, when the craving hits, there's no substitute. I appreciate the quality of the ingredients, and have never had a bad bite, whether fatty, sinewy, or otherwise unpalatable. The salt content is a problem for us - two of us have high blood pressure and must watch our sodium intake.

So sad and let down

What happened? I was so looking forward to my can of beef stew in a recent camping trip. Dingy Moore has been a camping staple for atleast 3 generations in family but I have to sadly say won't be any longer. If you go back to the amazing beef chunks and recipe we will be back but until then..I'm sorry to have to say goodbye :(

I am going to buy this product again and again

I love eating this stew. I make my own beef stew but when I don't want to make a whole crockpot of stew and end up freezing most of it I can get a can of Dinty Moore and I know it's going to be a great tasting meal. It has a thick gravy, the meat is chunky, and the potatoes are firm.

I would buy this beef stew over & over again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heated it in the microwave and ate it with some saltine crackers, it had a really good taste almost like homemade. I've ate this product before years ago too and its always been a good stick to your ribs meal.

Inconsistent packaging

I've eaten this yummy stew since I was a child. Now that I'm an adult, I still eat it when I need a quick lunch. My problem isn't necessarily with your product, it is yummy to me, my problem is with the inconsistency of the canning. I recently bought four cans and have been on a lunchtime binge, eating one small call each day for lunch. My first three cans were packed with beef & potatoes, but no carrots to be found. The fourth can that I opened today had NO meat (well, it had three pieces of meat), tons of potatoes and just a few carrot slices. What's up with this? I like the protein that the beef provides but I get none of that when there's no beef. In the words of that famous commercial from my childhood..."Where's the beef?"

Love Dinty Moore Beef Stew

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I remember having Dinty Moore Beef Stew as a kid (I'm 70). It was warming and tasty then, and even better now. We had sausage, biscuits, and gravy for dinner last night, so I decided to warm the leftover biscuits, and cover them with Dinty Moore Beef Stew.. Really delicious. It reminded me of my Mother's and Grandmother's southern cooking. Dinty Moore Beef Stew is great on it's own (I've been eating it for years), but it's also a great ingredient for a larger meal.

Not bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big chunks of vegetables (mostly carrots and potatoes) and nice stew-y flavor. The meat was ground beef which isn't bad but isn't what I expect when I think of beef stew. It was well seasoned, but a little heavy on the salt which seems to be the norm for canned products. Overall, it was good for a quick meal, but not something I would buy very often.

I would buy this for a quick meal fix.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great mid day meal to make it through the day and I was able to feel rather content. Though my personal taste had me adding some Cholua ad I love spice it was fine with flavors of its own.
