I have RA and have difficulty using some products, but this dispenser was simple to use and I did not have to spend extra time trying to find the end of the tape. The adhesive is strong enough to tape shut the box I needed to send and it unwound effectively and efficiently. The cutter worked correctly with very little pressure. I highly recommend this product for those who need an easy-to-use tape with dispenser. A good value for the money.

The dispenser is easy to use and cuts the tape with ease. I sometimes will squeeze a tape dispenser so that the tape does not roll. However, this dispenser is designed where that does not happen. The tape rolls effortlessly. Well done 3M!

I got this sample via 3M's Sample Program, but I really didn't need it, having several rolls of this already around the house. I've bought a lot of cheaper versions, but this is among the most trustworthy products I've found. The Sure Start is easy to start as advertised and even when it sits unused for a long time, the glue doesn't get sticky or the tape fragile. I've had a few boxes with this tape in storage for a year and really find it reliable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tape for packaging boxes. Very strong and does not need to double tape at all. Also, very easy to use with hand held dispensing unit. Most of the import tapes does not stick or leave glue residue, but 3M tapes are very clean and easy to utilize.

I bought Scotch rather than a lesser quality tape. How disappointed I was to find that the cardboard around which the tape is wrapped was all bent. And this of course made dispensing it through the roller nearly impossible. Bad quality control in the manufacturing assembly line obviously. Come on people, take it up a notch and fix your automation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for a review. There is only so much one can find to say about shipping tape, as they are very similar. One good thing this Sure Start Scotch product has going for it is that the "lost" end, which usually ends up being firmly secured to the roll, is easier to find and start rolling out. And, it did not shred into multiple little strips! However, if you pull out a long roll of tape, it seems to have a lot of static, and sometimes will curl back and adhere to itself. Overall, I would say this product is an improvement over the irritating end-of-the-tape start/stop issue.

As advertised, this tape starts easily. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing I can say about it. It sticks very poorly, rendering it almost useless as shipping tape. It also cuts very poorly using a standard shipping tape dispenser, perhaps because it comes off the roll so easily and thus doesn't provide enough tension for the dispenser to work. Ultimately, I'm extremely dissatisfied with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received The Scotch Packaging Sure Start Tape as a sample for review. Timing was perfect as we were packing items to move. The tape stayed stuck to the boxes, without the loud and ear screeching sounds typical of other packaging tape.

I bought this tape because of the Scotch brand and because it is easy to start the roll. It was more expensive but I thought it would be worth it. It does not stick well to cardboard boxes and I use new boxes so there is no dirt etc. on boxes. The last roll I used when I unrolled the tape it shredded down the middle in two places and I wasted tape just trying to get it whole again. Last week I had packages in a plastic bag to take to the post office and when I got there, because the tape did not stick well to the box, it stuck to the plastic bag and ripped my shipping label off. It sticks to the plastic bag but not the box. I bought 12 rolls of this and because I bought them on line, it would cost me half the cost of the tape to return the last 6 roll package I have.
